    Good point...that is a hike!

I just checked Vivid Seats for Ottawa tickets. Tomorrow night Minnesota is in town and the tickets run from $16 to $110. Not bad! On Jan 20 the Leafs are in Ottawa...tickets are $142 to $501! The Leaf fans will drive 5 hours AND pay 5 times the going rate in Ottawa to watch their team play. Bet it's a "no tarps night"!!!!! :rofl2:  Even when teams like Boston or Chicago are in Ottawa tickets start at under $30!

I got 3rd row on the circle in the Sens end in Tampa for $13!!!!  ^_^

  2. We got a good little dump of snow late in the week so I decided to take the sled out for a little run, and to see how the new LED head lights and light bar work.

Well we still need a bunch of snow as the trails are very rough with many rocks still sticking out of the snow. Guess I'll have to stick to the lakes for a while.  :(

The lights work great though so there is some good news.  ^_^

The new light bar is attached to the bumper using bar clamps and is hooked in with the high beams.

I replaced the halogen head ligh bulbs with new LEDs. These are the low beams.

These are the high beams along with the light bar.

Guess I'm ready to sled out to the cabin and maybe drill a few holes now.

Well after I get the hut and tackle ready.  ;)

Matt, I can tell you that some Leaf fans are as high as kites...the rest of us are much more grounded and know the empire could collapse without notice. Look at Ottawa, I knew they played above their heads last year but didn't expect this debacle.

What gets me is the TSN/Sportsnet guys saying the Leafs are going for the cup this year.

    I'm like. ooooooooooooooooooooo, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Sure they are.

They need some parts before they become that team.

There was ZERO ice on Midland Harbour on Tuesday, with 2 foot waves. Today, 48 hours later, there are three sled tracks ripping past the coal dock for Port !! Darwin awards coming soon....

Had a guy sink his truck a couple of weeks ago when he drove into open water at night.

The spot is known for current and bad ice to all except this mensa candidate.

The guy took the red route (bad) VS the green route (good)

Then there's this guy that drove onto ice in another current area yesterday.

Ottawa covers the salary difference between Karlsson & Polak so there are no cap issues.  Leafs cover Lupol's salary (no cap hit) and Ottawa's tarp account.

Polak saves Ottawa the embarrassment of Phaneuf being their best defense man after Karlsson leaves.  The third round picks can be used to draft players who will be ready to enter the NHL around the same time as their upcoming lottery picks.  This is ideal for a long rebuild.

When visiting small market teams, Ottawa can use the tarp account to buy unsold blocks of tickets and cover the seats.  This essentially gives Ottawa home ice advantage.
