  1. Not safe enough for me yet
  2. Yup Tuesday there was a few inches near shore. About 30 steps out about an inch and a half. Spud went through with an easy hit. Today I heard a few guys were out from the ninth line but not very far out. I would think there will be some walking out by Saturday
  3. Yeah but the opp put out a statement and said if you are in a rental hut or your own , you can’t fish for 24 hours It is them once again misinterpreting the rules. So I told others to leave your hut for a short time and fish outside. Take video to prove you didn’t spend 24 hours in the hut. But I still believe they will figure it out and post a retraction. Because there is no curfew.
  4. Just like the flip over huts we use the ice shavings from drilling holes to hold down the skirts. and I screw down one corner before i start setting it up
  5. I read that from the opp that you can’t fish over night even in your own hut this is a misinterpretation of the rules by them First there is no curfew. There for you can fish as long as you want. And the rule they are trying to follow is meant for rental huts. Not privately owned huts and Surely not portable huts with no toilet bed or cooking devices again there is no curfew
  6. Well I’m no expert but I did stay at a holiday inn and it was -18 degrees out I had a mask on and breathing I could see may breathe leaving the mask and going a 6 inches out I took the mask off and it was more like two feet or more my steamy breathe made it away from me So I know it stopped a lot from spreading out and away from me oh and their beds were comfortable
  7. Cooks bay you can in spots. Virginia Beach people are getting out. I have not heard any reports from Beaverton yet and I have not heard if hut rentals have any out yet.
  8. Damn. I wish I could do that
  9. Glad it worked out
  10. I would contact you credit card company I see there Facebook page was last updated in 2019
  11. Yeah it’s too bad , but lazy of the local health unit shut it down rather then enforcing the rules I would like to see everyone not obey the law charged and leave to people who are following the lock down rules
  12. That’s good I heard on the radio they were having a meet and the agenda was closing the trails
  13. And they didn’t shut down snowmobiling they shut down the trails that are a business
  14. They are considering the trails a business so they are closing them. There. I heard Muskoka is closing their trails too but no one has closed icefishing. Some areas have closed rentals but other areas are allowing them so no need to justify anything. But you are more then welcome to have your opinion on this subject
  15. And 10 years later
  16. This is the second time on lake simcoe this month
  17. I as of last March I have been in contact with two other people other then the people In my household I have not been to any gatherings, weddings or anything we get our food and other things delivered or curbside pick up i have not been to a job or a tackle store and all this even when there was no lock down I have been to a gas station I wipe things down pay at the pump buy in bulk for my toys and wipe must down when done I am one of the most careful people in Ontario but I go fishing when I want and that is not a loophole it’s legal if you don’t feel comfortable doing it don’t But don’t try to make me feel bad doing it hell it’s been almost a year without fishing with a friend in my boat atv or skidoo
  18. The fact is there are no travel restrictions and someone in Toronto is not going to be able to snowmobile in Toronto so to do a legal and stayed activity they must drive out of the city . Of course my region is southern Ontario so I can find a place in my region to snowmobile
  19. Nice
  20. And the reason they say you must follow Healthguidelines and they said bylaw officers can fine you they are leaving it up to the municipalities to make their own rules. Just like in the spring. The simcoe health board said when the provincial rules said recreational businesses had to close all municipal sites and access to to lake would be closed. And the fine for breaking the rules was about 800 bucks So if they say no one from out of town can park or access the lake in Innisfil. They can and will ticket people. It’s not a travel ban it’s a local bylaw enforced by the local Heath Unit
  21. I think I will keep it a secret so not as many people will bother me while fishing 🎣 https://covid-19.ontario.ca/zones-and-restrictions?fbclid=IwAR3nbxUo3q2MRxH3xs3jgKHFHmndifhBY4GYCFy0LxuhWlQ9RTSuT-tN8Bs
