  1. While we were out there freezing the missus was in the hut taking pike selfies. Good to meet you man we'll have to get out when the weather is more bearable.
  2. Drew 19 13 16 11 18 13 13 Ad 24 13 10 10 9 9 Rhena 19 24 14 Final scores in inches for the day pike perch and pickerel.
  3. Better hit the ice I'll report later.
  4. My girlfriend took this photo on the French river
  5. Hit the lake in town today for a couple hours. It was freezing out there with a strong north wind but fish were caught. First trip out this season decent conditions with 8 to 10 inches of ice.
  6. Been a while since I posted anything but now I can can post pics right from my phone. Things will be easier and quicker for me. Sorry I'm lazy. Early spring was good lots of fish shallow and mixed. Here is a few shots.
  7. Down south? There isn't going to be any ice fishing there. I'll take care of your trout while your gone. Just tell me your coordinates. Where down south you going?
  8. Right on I can post fishing reports with pics again. Wtg guys I like the looks of the board.
  9. Awesome man I can target them in my area zone 8. I've tried once with a 1/4 oz. sliding sinker circle hook and cut herring with no luck. What baits and what kind of water were you guys fishing?
  10. Sounds like the right lake, good fishing for pike pickerel and smallies. There is a public launch by the cache campground. Pretty much all crown land surrounding according to my maps anyways. Bring warm clothes it was 3 degrees and frost this morning.
  11. A summer splake the shot of the finder was taken that day trolled dipseys as if on Lake Ontario in 35 to 45 feet of water. Really filled the boat that day 3 of us brought home our limit of 5 and let a bunch go as well
  12. They will carry you away
  13. I'm a truck driver. There is a ton of work up here mostly in mining and forestry but everyone is always hiring.
  14. Since I made the best decision of my life. Packed up and moved north. Been a fairly steep learning curve on when and where to fish but we're starting to figure things out. Still got a good month of ice fishing left beginning of the season was tough with multiple skunks but starting to put some decent patterns together. Here's some pics from the last year.
  15. Lots of ice still in Timmins were on more than 2 feet still here's a couple shots from the last couple weeks.
  16. Can we be friends you have a float plane that's sweet. There's a ton of lakes like you are looking for up the 652 highway the access road to detour lake. Kesagami(sp) wilderness outfitters flys out of Cochrane to the area as for exact lakes and names I can't help much because most of them are numbers and unnamed.
  17. Rainbows were biting like crazy caught these in about an hour. On a little pond just outside Timmins. Panther Martin's anywhere near a log jam would almost always result in a fish or a follow. Really tame gray Jays at the launch too. I love it here.
  18. They are all splake tried jigging and drop shotting to them not even a nibble. Ran cookies and little cleo spoons. On our first pass double header. Beat them up after that probably caught 20 fish in the next couple hours.
  19. I'm not one for writing big long reports so here's some shots from the last couple weeks.
  20. Can't wait to catch one I've fished that stretch of the mattagami a couple times this summer.
  21. Grab a copy of the back roads map book all crown land is green. Have at it.
  22. I recently moved to the timmins area at the beginning of may. I've been really busy with the move and such but had a little time for some fishing lately and man I can't wait to do some exploring. There's hundreds of lakes around and im just starting to learn the area. I know the hold on this fish isn't good but the pic was taken after a failed 20 minute revival. The pic taken in the water boat side made it look allot smaller than it was.
