.....don't know you but understand you're the dawg! Thanks for the well wishes. Happy Columbus day to you and thanksgiving to yours! Cheers! I hope to meet you one day

Wow! I am a new member, and proud daddy! Your strength is admirable. Please know I've been thinking of you and yours since reading this post and ran home to hug and kiss my 2 and a half year old. That plate of food he through across the kitchen today seemed like so little. Thanks and sorry at the same time! God bless!

.....unreal! That stuff drives me nuts! I remember asking my dad as a boy (really not all that long ago maybe 20yrs) how much money he made and he gave me the same answer as Lew"s. Imagine, a stranger asking you that for ten bucks. I'm 31y/o and still don't know what my dad ever made!

Cap'n Dan: Just checked out your website! Impressive to say the least! That last walleye in your album is incredible! I live in between the Soo and Sudbury on the north channel of Lake Huron and our eyes don't grow that big! I hope to talk a few of the boys into a road trip your way! Good luck Saturday! I'll be on the North Channel at the mouth of the Spanish River.....I won't dare compare our reports! lol. You know what they say though...."A great day on the water...." I hope to fish the BOQ soon! Cheers!

Will talk to my rep tomorrow. -
They done right. Wanna talk nuissance bears next? Next one that pops my 2 year old's pool may meet the cougar in animal heaven! It's happened three times this summer when they come by for a drink! Don't get me wrong but these animals can inflict lethal damage to young children and adults alike. I've had to rush my boy indoors twice this summer because of a bruin and wouldn't have been too upset if they had to kill him. He was trapped twice and still came back! There's a fine line as a proud sportsman but where and when your family becomes at risk you know where I stand! Again, they done right!

Have you tried barking at samsung direct? Their service is actually not bad. The DLP's were a bad tv and they may work with you. Worth a try. I own a store that sells tvs and I have been (rarely) impressed but it happens where a manufacturer steps up. In this case they may as there are many documented problems with the DLP hence why they didn't last. -

what kind of tv? -
I really like that one DanielM! A hundred bucks is cheap too considering what we spend on rods and reels. Mine are always just laying loose in the bottom of the boat! I wonder if I'd take the time to use it though......????

We've deep fried our bird the last 4 years and plan on doing it again this year and have never injected our bird. My wife loves that her oven is free for her pies potatoes and stuffing. Oh I can't wait....the boys hunkering outside around the deep fryer drinkiing beer the ladies inside dirinking wine.....I love thanksgiving dinner. Good luck....you should be happy with how it turns out. I have 12 people coming this year so I'm going to deep fry two smaller birds. The larger the bird the trickier it gets!

I guess we'll leave it at that then. Read what you want to read as I don't think you are reading what I'm saying but hearing what you want. I'm a long way from BPS and have only been once and was overwhelmed (in a positive way like a kid in a candy store) and never had to deal with customer service. I never said you had to ask for a manager to return the item. Evidently, BPS doesn't properly train or give enough authority to those staffing the customer service desk. What I said was if you weren't getting the service you felt you deserved by a subordinate you ought to have asked for his or her supervisor or the on duty manager. If you did, and were still wronged I'm sorry I must have read only what I wanted to read. I understand you were cheesed off! We all get that way! What I'm saying is employees make mistakes and decisions that don't always represent management/ownership's beliefs. I'm not in any way defending BPS. In fact, next time in the Toronto area I'll likely drive by and seek out the Cabela's store because of all the positive comments I read on this site about them. I never intented to insult you. Once again....CHEERS!

I am not in any way downplaying your complaint nor is it how I would have necessarily handled it. what I'm saying is that once the correct person was made aware of how you were treated they took care of it albeit maybe a little cheaply and a little extra should have been given to make sure you know you are an appreciated customer. One thing to remember that letters or emails of complaint are not frowned upon by upper management of any store regardless of its size. We simply can't be everywhere all the time. Letters are very much appreciated and I always reply personally and a gift card is always awarded for their time to make me aware of a potential shortcoming my store may have regardless if I necessarily agree with he/she. The customer is always right! Cheers. In the end I'm glad you got a new bag!

I always trolled big spoons behind a downrigger ball for my lakers but this year tried a regularly producing spot using tub jigs for suspended fish on lighter gear and had a blast doing it!
-
As a retail store owner I must say BPS handled the situation correctly. Perhaps a little "token extra" would have been nice, but unfortunately it was likely a staff member that mishandled the situation. I think the fact the management once made aware that you were mistreated took the time to personally call you shows that the service isn't all bad. It's an unfortunate part of retail where the owner/manager can't be the eyes and ears everywhere. Had nobody corrected the situation at all I'd say the service is bad. Did you ask to speak to management at the time?

losing a pet is never easy.....losing a pet because of someone's negligence is shameful. Condolences!

funny thread!

....how much do you want to spend? If it's a few hundred I say forget about an inflatable! Buy a sit in float tube. I've had mine 2 years now and paid 200 bux with flippers and another 200 for good chest waders (they don't count cuz I use them all the time) and I've had some of my best times in it and I own 16ft boat with a 70hp on it! ps. buy the floating cooler option too.....you can operate a tube while consuming your fave beverage.
-
Take the extra drive to Lake Nip and make a weekend of it. The 6 man sleeper cabins are a blast!
-
what kind of fishing? I love my float tube and flippers for the small speck or bass lakes! Lots of fun! I know a guy with an inflatable and he loves it......my fear is the word "cheap" you used and like everything else in life you get what you pay for! To me cheap means keep a patch kit handy! I'd consider a roof rack for your car and a small tinny (you can get them pretty good pretty cheap) and a 2 hp. I buy cheap 12 footers around here all the time to leave on remote lakes for under $300.
-
Thanks on the info! I've got the lead core gear we use here for lakers......I never thought of that! Gonna do my homework on planer boards! I'm really going to try to make it that way for the GTG!
-
Wow. Good work.
-
I always prefer casting and drifting and bouncing jigs for my eyes. Is it an option then? Never used planer boards but would love to try!
-
I've got an older Sea Nymph "Fishing Machine" (front and back casting decks w/chairs) I just bought used.....I've always wanted to try the BOQ in the fall! Is my boat safe there? Is it worth the 8 hour drive south??? I've mounted a couple riggers on it and it's an awesome mid size lake boat! I fish the north channel of Huron around the spanish river a lot but we don't get the monsters the BOQ produces!
-
............... Congrats on the special day. I'm a proud daddy of a 2.5 year old boy and I love hearing him ask me to go fishing every morning we walk by my boat to get to the truck. The boy already loves being on the water slamming panfish!
-
for the money I spent I'm quite satisfied with both my Spirex and Sedona. They've been durable but my Spirex took a bit of a beating recently running into a few 25+" pike while throwing jigs for walleye to the point where my drag isn't working the way it once did and I'm going to replace it.
