They rubbed it off before the round started. If BJ had been a little more proactive, I could see this complaint getting somewhere. But seeing as it was a completely one-sided affair, I can't see this carrying any weight.

2000 Chevy Cavalier... I pull my boat all over the place with it. Yeah, shes all terrain. And hates my guts.

Wow did GSP ever turn it up for that fight! Love his comments on preparing a strategy for BJ, very specific and worked to a tee for him.
-
The only way GSP gets a sub is if BJ gasses and can't control the pace any longer. Look what happened in the Hughes fight. He was stopped on strikes, but Hughes could just have easily put BJ in a kimura from the crucifix. Getting pumped!!!
-
Two things that GSP really needs to watch out for are BJs knee when going for a takedown and the uppercut in close. BJ is so talented and IMO is very focused on this fight which makes him one of the most dangerous guys out there. If you think hes going to be scared to exchange with Georges, you're dreaming. His boxing is sick and I think hes got the edge in the early rounds. If GSP can get it to RDS 3...4...5 his conditioning will pretty much hand him the fight. This is such an even fight, it can go either way. Personally, I think it should have been a catch weight with no title up for grabs. Both guys are in their prime and this is a fight of a lifetime. I'm really exited for this event!

The thing is, BJ has such a good chin and no chance is he getting subbed by GSP. I also think BJ is more elusive on the feet and has heavier hands. GSP has him as an all around fighter, cardio and wrestling. I really hope GSP takes it, but you can never count BJ out. Especially if hes got a chip on his shoulder.

The guy holding the pike at about 3;20 looks kindof familiar. 'Hook in the shadows?

First time the boat goes in at ice-out, is the best feeling! Getting on plane, hearing the motor whine. Can't help but feel at home! Summer mornings are good, spring days are good, just getting into ice fishing so the jury is still out on that one. Fall days probably my favourite overall time to fish. The air has cleaned up, no bugs and chance at a real big fish. Of any species.

Good luck to your brother Steve! It isn't easy when getting a paycheck means looking forward to a hard kick to the liver! And those guys hit HARD.

We didn't watch the speech at work. No big deal. But when I got home and asked my daughter what her 6th grade class thought of the speech, she said they didn't watch it. They didn't even discuss it except for a moment when the children were counting down at 11 (she said they didn't know what time it was on), the teacher said that it wasn't time. They then went on to discuss the similarities between the aboriginal people and the vikings. What class? Social studies. They didn't even touch on the historical significance of the occasion. I've never called a school that my daughter was attending to voice my displeasure with their teaching practices, but theres a first for everything. Social studies !

Well? Are you planning on staying home to watch our neighbours prez get sworn in? I guess on one hand, I'd like to see it for the historic aspect, but really don't feel like losing a days wage. So I'm going to warm up the car.

Water on the water. BEER on the pier! 'Cept in the morning when two fingers of Irish make their way into the coffee. I might have a few out on the ice if I'm in a heated hut and don't have to drive. Then its probably rye. Maybe beer.

I wonder how long it would take on the smoker? The Fowl de Cochon sounds awesome.

Natural Selection Gives Way to Human Selection

Pretty linear thinking IMO. Pull a trophy moose every year and the genepool gets diluted. If I'm not mistaken, thats two record moose taken in 2008. Think that there are enough of the calves sired that make it to that same potential ultimate size? I don't. At the same time, although the bighorns' rack may be shrinking, it seems like the mooses' haven't seen any...shrinkage. -
Theres definately a gap between inspectors that know what they're doing, inspectors that are just learning and inspectors that don't care... I've seen inspectors kick guys offsite for less than not having their ticket. Drywall removal is par for the course. We've also dealt with experienced inspectors that would pass our houses and just spot check them, knowing our work was sound after working with them for years. They just made sure we tested our pipes (plumber by trade) and if we called in 5 or 6 houses, he would check one or two. But then had inspectors that wouldn't show for days and you'd never know whether something was amiss or not... A huge problem these days is that things don't flow properly and, like Mattones said, all they (SOME builders. Do your homework) care about is closing time. People are rushed and quality of workmanship suffers.

To answer your question. No to labourers, painters, drywallers. Yes to framers, drains should be done by someone who knows what they're doing, don't you think? There are some aspects to each job that is demanding, and some labourers that I've met have been there for 20+ years and know and understand exactly whats going on on site. Sometimes more than the super does. Site supervisors aren't what they used to be, either. The last two residential sites I was on (in high-rise now), the supers regularily left early, NEVER EVER walked the site and accountability was a joke. There are some very reputable builders out there, just do your homework. There are inspectors that should oversee every aspect of a build. Their name goes on the dotted line and can be held against them if anything goes wrong. What people outside of the trades don't realize is that when piecework began happening, thats when the product really started being diluted. MH does overkill his jobs and alot of whats being done can be simplified, but hes got a show to do. He does seem like an arrogant guy and not one I'd like to work with. But he has pride in what he does along with a great many tradesmen/women that I've known over the years. And hes real good for the consumer. The problem with MH, as a professional, is when a homeowner takes a half hour show and then becomes a pro themselves.

Nice looking pike for sure! Bet your hearts still pounding! Congrats on the pb, minnow.
