Now is a good time to fish upper Niagara from shore in the Ft Erie area.

Well, a little better news this morning. THe OFAH is taking an interest in this problem.
Thanks to all who have contacted different agencies.
As it was explained (off the record) to me. Political risk is a large part of risk assessment in government. The more voices singing out, the better. Government does not respond to silence. E-mail the DFO,MNR and NPCA. IF you have an OFAH membership, let the OFAH know your concern. What happened here has also happened everywhere in this province and it takes noise to make it stop.
Here are the MPP's concerned:
the biologist at the NPCA
Rattle their chains. I would think that Hudak, as leader of the opposition might like to embarass the liberal govt.

Pathetic web page. No vendor list, particulars, contact link. It just does not give you that "We want your business" feeling. Place could be full of jobbers and C-list bazaar vendors for all I know.

I've got a President that has survived 4 years of my abuse. It's a great reel for the price.
-
He is very lucky.Like tnt said, working far to close to the lines. Will probably be out of a job after this.

The CO's were on minimum staffing for the holiday weekend. Something to do with collective agreements and holiday payouts that were too costly.
We couldn't get them for the Niagara Outdoor Show as a result.

So people will join up only to lurker the members forum....
If anything you need to have a certain amount of posts in order to view the members forum...100-200 or something similar.
That would weed out the lurkers for sure.
That would cause a huge loss in the revenue stream and some form of fee structure.

The kids were having too much fun
Thanks for reminding me of how much fun it was to take the kids fishing when mine were small.
-
Now that mud fight sounds like fun. I love getting in trouble. WHo wants to be old and boring eh?
-
Well done on a successful outing. The kid's faces tell the whole story

You're doing good. Tomorrow you'll be a bit further, and the next day futher, than the day before. Should start to get easier now.
Been 10 years come May, and the smell of a good bowl or cigar will still set off a hankering. Then the son waves one of them Rez smokes under my nose and the urge is gone quick.
Man does that boy stink bad. You'll notice that about smokers too

Good going. Nice meal for a foursome.

One evening a wife turns to her husband and asks. "How many women have you slept with"?
Without batting an eye he replies, "Only you darling. With the others I stayed awake".
Hospital visiting hours are 2-8 pm.

Sounds like it might be time to mention it to someone in the media, preferably someone who likes to stir the pot. A few before and after shots would look good on tv, along with a question like "Who does this property owner know that they can get away with this?"
JF
Kinda what I'm thinking. Just got to get through the weekend at the Niagara Falls show first.

anymore news on this?
My Bad, correction
Just heard the MNR does not have hard proof of equipment working the water's edge, or destroying shoreline, so they have little to work with.
Priority of action will lie with NPCA and DFO.
NPCA may be hamstrung by a 6 month statute of limitations
The DFO has only just assigned the file to a biologist. Who has not yet seen the file.
Our natural resources might just be squandered in red tape
Seems I may just have to get right UGLI

Nobody was home

OK, what's the advantage to leasing holding ? ? ?
That's what you have to weigh in on.
Bob
On that note it provides a property at a price that is far cheaper than buying land. It can allow the use of mobile units/ trailer homes, if the site allows non- permanent structures. For those with limited means, leasehold makes home/cottage ownership more within reach. As long as the property owner is decent, ownerships do not change, etc...
-
Arbitrary service fee increases are the other trap on lease properties. Road usage fees went from $500 to $5000 when the agreements came due for renewal.

Hit into a school of small stuff yesterday. I think the biggest was pushing 7"

VIA rail is pretty set on their fee structure. So sites like the last minute clubs etc.. won't help.
They do offer seasonal specials, multi passes, hopper passes every so often for summer travellers. Just have to keep checking the VIA site. Deals do book up fast.

If you can't beat your competition, gobble em up and shut em down.

Glad to help.

The young lad did well. I gather you must have been the netman for the young star.

I don't think she considers me a friend.
Public awareness of an issue is a good thing. Trying to take on a complex issue by yourself is difficult and frustrating. Other concerned anglers and citizens may wish to become involved if they are aware of the issue.
Good Job on taking some action over this issue.
The local club is on board with this being as it is right in their backyard. They will also be doing some lobbying.
No stranger to stirring things up. I've embarrassed a few public officials in the past and I am only too well aware of how to utilize media when necessary.
