Hey there everyone, this question is for the men out there.... or the woman I guess aswell... I was just curious, What do you do while your significant other is watching " their" show ? I have a few fishing shows that my wife cant seem to stand, and she has a few that I can bare to watch haha At the moment, the wife is just finishing up a 3 hr run of "Sex In The City" leaving me with not much else to do... we live in an apartment... so its not like I can go out in the shop or the garage ya know ? hahaha I find myself on the computer a lot. Or reading, or maybe, JUST maybe.... if I can handle it... I sit in on an episode or 2 hahahah Only when there hasnt been a new post on OFC for 10 mins or so. So what does everyone else do during that time ?

For me, I would have to say any town "up north" I only made my first visit to the north a couple years ago, and now I try and make it at least once or twice a year. Up north to me is anywhere 75-100 miles north of the GTA or so ! haha I love being surrounded by trees and water and wilderness... Ive travelled quite a bit for my age(23) Thailand, england, vancouver, mexico, blah blah blah..... NOTHING compares to the great north... In my opinion at least.

Only thing I have to say is..... HOCKEY SONG ! Now HNIC isnt the same, I find myself actually watchin TSN hockey rather than CBC .... disappointed !

Im the same way... I just picked up a couple shimano saharas for spinning combos, but those are for LIGHT plastics and lures.... or perch/pickerel fishing.

I always found with braid that the line rarely gets caught up when pullin out a birdnest. The times it did though I would just find the loop and you sometime could pull through it if ya pulled hard enough or I would just pull the loop out and it would let go... I have yet to cut into my braided line due to a birds nest.

I was looking at getting into the Revo line of reels, or I played with a couple shimanos at the show the other weekend and I liked the feel of them too. I think my next reel Ill need a flippin switch though ..... If possible I want to keep it in the $100-$125 range. And I've narrowed it down to Abu or Shimano pretty well. Currently Im using 25lbs braid on my black max and I havent spooled my silver max, but Im thinking a high # floro .

is it pro bass or bass pro ? haha if you look on the back under the small print, there should be an exp. date ! I know there was on mine I got at Xmas

Hey everyone Just curious to see who uses them ? I have a black max I got from walmart and used it quite a bit last year. It started to get a bad screaming sound when I would LAUNCH it, thats really the only problem with it... I just picked up a silver max off ebay I have yet to use.... for the $$$ they seem like a pretty good deal ? I think I paid $30

Hahahaha Yea I was thinking the same thing, sounds like the motor is kinda dead weight so I think thats what Ill do... Low ball him, not to offend him, but just to say, listen, I dont need the Motor, It isnt worth anything to me.... if he wants to take it, he can, if not... we shake hands, have a beer, and move on with the search

Im looking to dampen the sound coming off the boat ? Does it help with that also ?

Hey everyone, Ive been thinking of ways to damper the sound in a small aluminum boat. I could put a floor in, but thats going to add a tonne of weight. I though about carpet, but I dont know how I would get it to stay in place.... Then it came to me... What about "rhino" lining, or something to that effect.... What Im getting at is basically is some sort of spray on bed liner ??? Im not talking about the WHOLE inside of the hull... but maybe 2/3s the way up the side. Something that will damper the sound of falling sinkers or banging rods etc. Has anyone tried this, or done it to there own boat ???

Hey everyone Well I think the search for a boat has ended, One of the mechanics at our sister store, who I never met till yesterday has a 14ft sears aluminum he wants to sell. I didnt get any pics of it though. He wants to sell it and a 15HP Chrysler engine for $1000. I have to find a trailer though... I think its a pretty fair deal. What about everyone else ? I have yet to see the motor but he claims it runs well. He also said the boat has no leaks. I just wanted to get some opinions on the price ? Like I said, it looks to be in good condition, and he has also replaced the transom. Does any one know what these boats are rated for ? There is a plate on it that says " Max. engine size" but thats all it says hahah there is no number or anything. Thanks for the input
