  1. Nice rig Bill , I have an old toyota 4x4 and you are right these small trucks do not get stuck
  2. My neighbour bought one for his kid and I think he is regreting it , had a hell of a time getting parts for it !! Like Porkpie said better getting an older used one . You for sure don't want to be stuck in the middle of no where with a broken machine.
  3. Well Done !
  4. Ya, she looks like she has been around for awhile , I will try too find some more pictures of her.
  5. Welcome , great group here !
  6. This is a bear that I see very often at a lake in the central Ontario area, thought you guys would like to see it ! Has anyone seen anything like this before ? She is a fat gal too !!!
  7. You are exactly right it is not my business and I was under the impression that this fish was alot bigger than it was , Sorry guys !!!! Fishabout/Iceguy , I really hope comments like mine do not stop you from posting other vids. because I truly enjoy reports like yours , honestly , keep it up . I couldn't believe you actually got that fish in with that mess , well done !
  8. All i'm saying guys is that in "my" opinion that fish would be better off in the lake then on the table. I'm all for keeping some for the bbq but not this size (smaller ones taste better) Anyways I guess i'm the minority on this one !
  9. That is a very nice, laker but....... I can see where this is going to go !!
  10. Great reports, love Sadie !
  11. Thanks for the tips guys, where do you think I should start my search for the best selection ,BPS,LeBarons. I'm going on Monday. Thanks
  12. I have a reel already so i'm just looking for a rod , I got a set up for christmas but took it back (too light for lake trout, they would turn it into a pretzel) so the search is on !
  13. I'm in the market for a new rod and have a couple questions. I don't get out much so I don't need anything fancy (save that for soft water) Where would be the best place to start looking and what should I be looking for ? I will be going after lake trout/pike/whitefish so I imagine I would need something a little heavy. Thanks
  14. This is also my first crack at posting pics. finally figured it out
  15. Laker fishing in the fall and this is what one coughed up , matched the live target all most perfect ! Guess what we used for the rest of the day !
  16. Love your reports Simon , keep them coming !
  17. I know there has been some related comments on this subject but I still can't decide. I'm in the market for a finder for my father inlaw (since I use his boat alot it's the least I could do) and he hit a rock last summer with his new mercury so he does need one ! I'm kinda partial towards lowrance (own a X-125 on my boat , great finder) but what do you guys think ? I do alot of jigging for lake trout in his boat so a finder that can help me and the family with this would be great ! Looking at spending between 300 and 400 dollars.I was looking at the X-67 but i'm not sure. Thanks
  18. Got a message that the lake still has lots of open water and the ice that is there is not very good ! They received alot of rain on the weekend. I will try to keep ya posted on current conditions
  19. By the looks of the noaa sat. pics. the Muskoka lakes look wide open and with this rain and mild weather it will still be awhile ! If i'm talking to my friend in Minet I will ask about the ice conditions for ya
  20. Just talked to someone from Minet (Lake Rosseau) and they tell me that the small bays are iced over but the main lake is wide open. Also those sat. pictures from NOAA tell the tale as well. I'm sure it will be awhile yet !
  21. Agree , Radio World is the place to go . Prices are usually the best there is and great service as well. I would go with a lowrance ! Good luck
  22. I just picked up some Mich. X-i2 snows for the car , good reviews. The way I look at it is , if you are going to bother with getting snow tires don't skimp out for the sake of 20-30 bucks a tire because all it takes is one slip into the ditch and those good tires are paid for ! Also check out Tire Rack , lots of reviews there .
  23. I have heard the same thing , mine stays in the garage with no problems.
