  1. Still a very nice looking fish. Congrats on a fun day on the water.
  2. I'm just a realist. Two running backs already injured, pro bowl linebacker out till december, Kyle Orton as the #1 QB and just lost the #1 receiver (Marshall) and replaced him with a rookie. The Broncos will be great again but not this year.
  3. I'll be the second one to say Go Broncos!! I love my Broncos and always will. Although i don't think they're going to have a good year this year i'll still cheer like they have a shot at the superbowl.
  4. We are going to be staying closer to Bonfield. Does anyone know where the boat launch is in Bonfield and if it's free or not? I'll have to try out the places you mentioned JPCT. Thanks again for your help.
  5. Which one is free? The Bonfield or the Astorville one?
  6. Thanks for the responses. Does anyone know if there is a boat launch in Bonfield? If not where is there a public boat launch? I wasn't planning on bringing my muskie gear but if they were active in July I might as well give it a shot.
  7. I've been hearing all of these reports about how hard the fishing is on Nipissing this year and it has me wondering if I'm going to fun into the same problems on Nosbonsing this week. Anyone on hear fished Nosbonsing this summer? Water levels as outrageous as Nip?
  8. You may think i'm crazy but the most productive colour i've used in most water conditions has been hot pink. I bought them one time because I let my wife pick out one pack of worms and well what can I say, she has great taste.
  9. Nice looking smallies there and some good luck in that tourny. I'm gonna have to fork out and pay you to teach me how to catch smallmouth on simcoe. Been out a few times and I'm like a tourist. Totally lost with no idea where to start looking.
  10. Amazing looking fish. I work in the barrie are and let me just throw it out there that if you are ever looking for a fishing partner for a day of smallie fishing drop me a line. I've never caught a simcoe smallie just a bunch of largemouth.
  11. Here are the pics of Gus and his first fish. And one of him after playing football with me. That little man sure can run fast.
  12. Good lookin bag of fish you've got there. Congrats
  13. These pics are amazing. Thank you so much for posting all of these pics. I love dogs and love hearing about how happy dogs make everyone's lives. Keep them coming. I went fishing at the local pond with Gus last night and he had his first encounter with a largemouth bass. Needless to say my big bad boxer was scared to death of the 1/4 lb bass. I will post the pic soon.
  14. Great looking dog you have there. Let the fun begin.
  15. Nice job. Seems you've got catching those 5lb fish down to an art.
  16. I was just reading the thread " there's a new dog in town " and it made me think that quite a few of us have dogs on this board. I thought it would be a neat idea to start a thread where we can post pics of our furry best friends. Here are a few of my Boxer Gus, he is 16 months old. And last but not least here is Gus with his friend Beanie I look forward to seeing everyone's pups.
  17. Great looking fish you have there. Well done.
  18. If you want to add some rattle to those texas tubes try some of these. My link
  19. Lake Dalrymple is full of weeds but it is also close to there and has tons of fish in it. Lots of bass and pike from my experience.
  20. I have a quantum energy. I love using that reel. So smooth and great casting. I'd suggest it to anyone.
  21. It very well could have been us. We were using fishing off of a bass tracker. We were in cabin 5. The one right beside the driveway.
  22. 2 years ago we got into the muskies on elephant. We managed 3 in one day. Biggest was only 36 inches but I know they are in there. One of the guys managed a decent 30 inch pike this weekend but that was as close to a muskie that we got. I've heard of good lookin walleye coming out of the lake but i've never found them....then again i'm not much of a walleye fisherman.
  23. I'm very jealous. I'd love to start working my way into some tournaments. Like you said the best part is that you developed a new, great friendship/partnership. I was thinking about fishing the Rondeau Bay part of this series but work schedules conflicted. Congrats on a great tourny and great fish.
  24. Didn't hear of or even see any muskie or walleye. Every evening there was the usual 5-10 boats across from the lodge where the water drops to 20+ fow. I would imagine with water temps as high as they were (78-81 F) those fish were getting as low and cool as possible.
