  1. The boat traffic was crazy. I didn't think a lake that small could hold that many boats. Every time we went to a spot there were 4 other boats there. It got to the point where if we didn't see other boats around we were wondering what was wrong with the spot. I found the jet skiers and pleasure boaters a bit annoying due to the fact that they would fly past us non stop. I guess everyone is entitled to the water but if it were me i would give the fishermen some extra space so i don't disrupt them. I think my next trip out to Eugenia will be on a weekday. Thanks to everyone for the tips and tactics. All the fish we caught were on baits that we recommended to me by members here.
  2. those are some good looking fish. Nice work.
  3. Well as promised I'm doing a quick report on my day trip to Eugenia. My brother and I arrived there around 8:45 am and were on the water by 9:00 am. The fishing started out pretty slow but as soon as we figured out a few combinations that were working we started boating them pretty regularly. We left the water around 2:00 pm with a catch total of 10 bass. About an even mix of large and small mouth. Biggest fish of the day was just over 3lbs. Most of the fish came in 6-10 feet of water. Baits of choice were tube jigs, spinnerbaits and wacky rigged stick worms. Now I've seen the potential that this small lake has and I can't wait to take another crack at it. Maybe next time i will find one of those 5-6lb fish that I've heard live there. All fish were released after the photos. We always practice CPR (Catch, Photo, Release). First fish of the day Small Smallmouth Biggest fish of the day.......joking of course Mid size Largemouth Big fish of the day Couple of more Smallmouth
  4. Hello all. I'm heading out with my brother to Eugenia tomorrow and I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice for me? Never been on this lake before but have heard a few things. I'm not looking for any secret holes (although i wouldn't say no if you offered it ) I'm just wondering about types of baits or even good colours that have been working. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I hope i can come back on here tomorrow night and share some pics for a successful day out.
  5. I would go pick up a Pflueger President Reel/Bass Pro Extreme XPS Rod Combo from bass pro. They are on sale for 109.99 right now. I bought my brother one of these combos for being my best man and let me tell you it works amazingly well. I am thinking about going and getting the 7' MH combo for myself. The reel is so smooth.
  6. I fished Bass lake for the first time last year and had trouble finding fish. With some patients I was able to find a decent bass. Lots of panfish though.
  7. My PB largemouth. PB smallmouth My first ever muskie. Not the biggest fish in the lake but sure was exciting.
  8. There were actually 4 of us on the boat. Although i wish i had 9 rods. Would save a lot of time on changing lures. Thanks for all the response.
  9. Better late than never. We went up for 3 days and had some good luck with the bass. Nothing gigantic but some pretty decent ones. They stay at memquisit was great. We found that most of the bass were near shore at points or by fallen trees. Here are a few pics of of the trip. Here is a nice double header my brother and I had, Our Cabin Best pike of the trip. I'm holding the fish but it was my brother beside me that caught it, Best Largemouth of the weekend, released right after the pictures, And finally a nice sunset on our last night
  10. Well this wasn't on Guelph lake but two weeks about my brother was throwing a red/white original chatterbait and he was catching about a fish every ten minutes and they were all bass and pike. That included a 4.5lb largemouth, a 3.5lb smallmouth and a pike about 30" or so. Good luck in your competition.
  11. This would be a good idea. Now i really hope i can catch something worth showing off. Anybody hear how the fishing has been up there this week? I was in the south bay of nipissing last week and fishing was tough, very tough. Hopefully we all catch a lot of fish and have a great time.
  12. Thank you, i will keep these options in mind while i'm fishing. I hope i can come back and show you some pictures of a few nice fish. Thanks again, Todd
  13. I'm heading up to Memquisit lodge on friday morning for the weekend and I was just wondering what has been producing the best result for walleye and muskie? I wouldn't mind catching a few walleyes for dinner one night and any help you can provide would be great. Also, are the muskie deep or shallow? colours? Any help would be fantastic. Thanks, Todd
  14. I'll be in cabin 12 with 5 of my friends. Look for the tracker pro team 190 bass boat. That will be us. I look forward to saying hello and talking some fishing.
  15. That is one beautiful fish. Congrats on a fantastic catch.
  16. Going to be going to Muldrew lake for a day or so next week and was wondering if anyone here has fished this lake before? It looks like it is a decent size but i haven't seen it in person. Also does anyone know what species of fish this lake contains? Any help you can send my way would be great. Thanks, Todd
