  4. Brian, Don't mix it up too much. If I were you, I'd stick with grunts. Once then 30 sec later another, wait for 15 minutes and do it again. Worked for me and I'm sure it'll work for ya Jake
  5. Great sled you bought Simon Hope you don't sink it like your truck J/K It will be usefull for ya since you have a ton of lakes close to your place Leechman

  8. Brian, Do you have any deer callers? If you do, use them. I have a deer grunt gizmo and was not using it that much a couple of years back but been heavily using it this year and they're answering the calls Deer are curious animals and will come to investigate what you are doing Jacques
  9. Thanks Brian..... were you out today on the hunt??
  10. Thanks HD.... Pine is the only wood that I can find at a lower cost and it's easy to cut, router and sand down. Real proud of it
  11. Thanks Lew.... real proud of the results
  12. Guys, It's been some time since I could work on my trophy project and last night went to Rona and bought a Pine edge glued panel 11/16" x 16" x 36" made by Brico Pano. I thought I'd buy tongue and groove pieces of pine but could not find any thick enough for what i wanted so this piece I found just satisfied my likings. This morning, started to work on the template because the one I had was not big enough..... here a pic of the two The blue is the one I had for the smaller racks but had to make a bigger one. Got to work and this is the results I laid down my trophy on it just to get a feel for what it was to look like..... and this is the results Since the piece of pine I've bought was big enough, why not make a couple more Now I have to figure out where I'm going to hang it on my trophy wall.... the wife won't accept that I put it above the fireplace and this is the only wall I can hang it amongs the others Roy, TJ, Spiel the other two plaques are available for the auction if need be and will ship them at no cost to the highest bidder. My Christmas gift to me is almost finish and real proud of it Hope you enjoy! Leechman

  22. HUKDONFAWNIX, For wooden: The best bang for your buck would be to make your own out of 1" x 2" x 4' of white pine.... that you can get at any hardware stores, it's cheep but involves a bit of work. It's the reason why I don't buy the ones at CTC or Walmart, simply is a rip off in my opinion..... I started to make my own and really pleased with the results. Here is my latest model that I made and will be using this coming hard water season For plastic: There's the windlass like Clamp-it recommended, reliable and efficient but a little expensive and cannot comment on...... will leave that to your decision Hope this helps.... tight lines Leechman
  23. LOL Thanks HH Good one
  24. Bill, if I was you, I'd try Bighead. Looks interesting, new body of water to explore and just never know Then have a few shots of the Crown when you get back Good luck with your decision Leechman
