  3. Brian, instead of relocating your stand.... why not set another?? Just a suggestion From the cam shots of where your stand is.... seemed that you have pretty good numbers of deers coming..... If I was you I wouldn't move it Then you can decide where you want to go on any given day.... depending on the action you get the previous time you're sitting in it. Good luck and I think it's just a matter of time before the big boy makes a mistake Thanks for sharing Jacques

  18. The fish will survive a lot longer on ice then during the hot summer months flip flopping on the boat floor or on shoreline. You will have plenty of time for unhooking it and putting it back down the hole. I've caught a lot of fish on ice and practice mainly CPR using single hooks. Widegap or circle hooks in the 4/0 size and never had a problem. Last year we targetted white fish on one of our local lakes and caught OOS lakers. They were all released and swam away in a hurry down the hole. Hope this helps Leechman

  22. Thanks Weeds!!! It's white pine. I've made a tremendous amount of tipups last year and saved the cutouts.... that's what I've been using for the wooden lures Thanks Johnnyb!!! I'm really proud of those..... the paint job came out real nice Thanks Glen!!! The paint job is all about how I feel at the time I'm getting into it..... that one turned out awesome. I like the sounds of chartreuse skunk The white polka-dots is another one of my favorites!!! Thanks Mike!!! Yes the diamonds were somehow quite an undertaking.... when I finally finished (after numerous times of trying, couple of hours ) creating the stencil, it really was a good opportunity to stamp my name on them. As far as quitting my job..... won't be anytime soon Yes Paul it's white pine.... but I think you're wrong about the running out of it..... Look...... got plenty still  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Put in a couple of hours today of quality assurance testing on one of the JR's..... it works real good, got to accelerate the rhythm to keep it walking nicely on the surface compared to the other longer versions. Did not catch a sniff but was nice to be along the water edge Created a couple of jointed ones to add to my arsenal..... with the added modifications that the good members of this board suggested, tapered ends at the joint, no split ring in between and an eyelet for a hook at the back. Here a shot of them Now it needs a paint job Will keep you posted on the development Leechman
