I like em both and chose hardwater for the simple reason that there is no bugs.... the day I get sting by a bug on hard water is the day I quit ice fishing LOL

Here's my dad's recipe when he felt a little under the weather....
1oz of Dekuyper gin, mix with a table spoon of honey, a few drops of lemon and add boiling water.
Once finished, take a Contact C and go to bed

Ryan you're best to purchase a 6" auger IMHO.... I bought one last year and love it. I've own an 8" one before and it was a chore just to punch a hole.... took for ever Never again..... Now it's so much easier
