Pike -------------------> 39 inches, 19lbs French River, Ice fishing

Smallmouth Bass -------> 5.25 lbs Clear Lake, ON live shiner float fishing in July
I've managed to rehabilitate myself.
I used to go to any length to feel a fish bite my line.
I would go out every week-end, and sometimes take time off from work during the week.
I would drive countless miles sometimes just to fish for half- day then get home bone tired.
I took chances by driving my precious vehicle onto questionable ice.
Many times I did not have a fishing partner, and would go alone.
I spent good hard earned money on what I would consider today as trinkets.
Not anymore.
I realize it is just a fish.
And not worth the effort, time or money.
Learn to ZIG, when everyone else is ZAGGING!
If'n yer not getting bit with the trolling that everyone else is doing, remember to position yer boat over them large hooks and drop some large spoons over the side and using the electronics try and get the lure in their faces with a lift drop motion.
For what it is worth, sometimes the fish aren't in a cooperative mood.
Please see the link below which demonstrates how finicky Walleye can be at times. it is during an ice fishing outing, but shows how stubborn the fish can be...

Kinda like the distilled water. Apparently it is not good to drink on a regular basis because it has had all of the trace metals and salts removed from it and is considered to be dead water.
Not looking good, Steve:

I saw on another website (can't find it now) where there are several lawsuits pending against the maker of that popular magnetic bracelet advertised on television.
On a different note, I heard of some people swearing to the effectiveness of putting a plain bar of soap beside ones' feet under the bedsheets to alleviate leg cramps.
