  1. IMO a proper musky cradle would eliminate any of that thrashing and allow for a faster release
  2. bay city on hester is a pretty solid place/ i'd call them up and see what they say...especially if u just bought it
  3. that seems slow to me , even at WOT my old merc 20 could push me, my dad and my 17 foot sylvan at close to 30 mph has the motor had a carb clean? or adjustment? might have to do with the floats. could be running rich and chokin out maybe.
  4. there's a pike in that picture? All i see is hot babe
  5. ended up going to binbrook. fished from teh boat ramp area landed about 15 8-10 inch crappie, and kept 3 big ones for dinner. tasted nice and fresh also landed 2 catfish. on the way home i stopped off at a pond on the side of the road caught about 6 LMB, not too big.. but about 12-14 inches maybe. considering the pond is chemical treated i think. i was hoping for a toxic mutant bass
  6. do i need a boat?
  7. i'm just gonna hook an osprey to my fishing line and let it do the work for me thats a HUGE FISH
  8. was thinkin of hittin the grand somewhere along #54 looking for nice structure to fish smallies
  9. thanks for the advice. goodluck with the poop smell. ya bills bait and tackle is having a derby or something..... i've never really fished down there mostly because i dont wanna catch kife hammer handles or carp or anything.. i might hit the upper grand for some smallies or something
  10. since my old man is working tomorrow i have no other way to tow my boat to hit the river.. so i was thinking of doing some sweet shore fishing somewhere.. its also family fish weekend so i was hoping somewhere maybe a lil remote so there aren't too many people around.. on a side note: is there anyone on the board who uses float tubes or pontoon boats? i'm thinking of gettin one and it'd be col to get a group of guys together and fish outta them

  15. i've had really good experiences drifting white 8th oz grubs over flats tipped with a crawler. especially past points, through narrows etc i usually cast her ouf real far first to make sure she gets down there too

  19. nice report! this is one reason why i really dislike swimming in kawartha lakes. it sends shivers down my spine. what were the magic colours u were using? pretty much just trolling open water eh? any good underwater structure? i'll be heading to the cottage first weekend in august. was hoping to maybe tackle some ski's/ my lake is where big bald lake connects to pigeo. i think thats the south end of the lake. has anyone fished this area? its pretty deep and there are some islands
  20. did that cat hit a crank bait?
  21. love that color nice catches
  22. was gonna run a 40 hp on my boat. its the max HP. but ended up getting a 30hp 4 stroke. i think it was a better choice. it runs quieter and the only diff is a lil top end speed. but who cares. aslong as i get to my fishin spot. if i wanted to go 60 mph i probablt wouldn't have a fishin boat
  23. because after spending all that money its all i can afford ahaha but you are totally right. i have alot of rapala storm and CC baits
  24. hey bucktail u goin out there this weekend or what?
  25. nice! i launched from fishmasters at about 11am..too late i think.. it was hot as hell. got skunked. went out to maitland and turned back, like 6 foot waves out there.. no dice. i'd love to tag along with someone out on eerie one day. never fished the lake. i'd love to learn.
