Looks like the procecution is grasping at straws. There Doesnt seem to be any DNA evidence coming from leaked information. Let's also remember Mr. Kane is such a mess that he actually has a retired police officer chauffeur him around to keep him out of trouble. If they do find something and he is guilty I hope he gets everything coming to him. If not, and they find out the victim was just looking for a payout, I hope the media ruins her life as well.

I am loving this report Dave. It's going to be a beauty spot. Don

Hey Evster Motor has been running fine all year since the jets were drilled out. About 1000lbs in my boat as well and I will be running at 25mph with a 12 pitch prop. When I was fooling around with the choke I just opened the throttle all the way and slowly pulled the choke out until the motor started to run better. Now after saying all this mine was really bogged down. Very low rpms when there was problem. What max hp is your boat rated for?

Mike, Don't let one idiot bother you. Your reports an write ups were one of the main reasons I joined to community back in 2008.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family Wayne. Over the last few years my father and I have been following your posts closely. Feeling revealed when you had good news, and feeling down when you didn't. We would often talk about Jen's fight over the phone (me in Ottawa and him in Niagara-on-the-Lake) whenever there was new news. I even had the privilege of talking with Jen via e-mail after donating to her her gutsy walk a few years ago. She was defiantly a special young lady and a real inspiration to us all. RIP Jen. Sincerely, Don & Ed McIlroy -
Fair enough, Personally I like the look of a wood stock myself. Just asking if there were really any significant pro's or con's. This is all great information. I always like to be as educated as possible before i go into a store to make a purchase. Most of the time I end up knowing more about an item / items than the person working there.

Funny you should say that... I had a buddy offer me a combo new in the box 500 taxes in. Not overly sold on the new 870's now though.

Thanks for all the replies guys. So it looks like and older 870 (preferably a wingmaster) is the way to go for your very first gun. After looking around last night the older wingmasters are tough to find.... and there is probably a reason for that. I also like the new Benelli option as well... a little more money but boy it's a nice looking firearm. Next question would be... if I were to buy a brand new gun.... do you go wood or synthetic?

I have just received my PAL license in the mail and will now be looking to buy my first shotgun. Obviously reliability, easy to use and maintain being factors when looking at my first firearm. Uses will be from Turkey to other small game birds/animals. I would also like to get into some skeet/trap shooting at a club near my house... but I would assume that would be a different gun all together. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I will start my own research as well. thanks for your input. Bassman

Great Report, Thanks for sharing! -
Bend the hooks out a tiny bit away from the body with pliers and cut the legs down a little bit to tighten up the package. All it takes is to wait a 1 count and then set the hook.

The Chronrch is a great reel that casts a mile. Great reel for all around use. I actually picked up the quantum reel on Sunday for s new flipping stick. Good reviews so far from me.

In a back lake off the French river we had a small largie in a stringer off the side of our tinny. A huge pike took a big run at it and came out of the water and scared the 3 of us half to death. Good times.

Got the boat out for an hour tonight. The wife and I in the boat. That's how Honda's are supposed to run.

Hey Guys, First off I am on my second good douse of seafoam in my tank and it hasn't made a lick of difference. He had also checked the fuel lines and delivery and it seems to be fine. I had to work late last night so I didn't get a chance to run the boat but my mechanic buddy did and I think the problem is fixed. He had the carbs apart this weekend and said they looked immaculate so he decided to drill out the jets. Now..... he knows that isn't the "proper" thing to do but he has actually had to do this on 4 other Honda motors in the last 10 years when nothing else short of ordering new carbs would work. He literately took a drill bit that he could thread through the jet hole and bored it out a tiny tiny bit. The boat now jumps up on plane immediately and is hitting 24mph at 3/4 throttle while wide open hits the rev limiter (prop to small now I assume). It looks like my troubles might just be coming to an end with this motor. I will need to get myself and the wife in the boat to get the true performance and speed. Regardless it's a step in the right direction.

Well he is pretty reputable. He has worked at a major boat repair shop here in Ottawa for probably 10 years and he has done work to my old 1978 9.9 seahorse and had her running like a top so I do trust him. I think he would be trying to save me money. All this talk about how great Honda's are just makes me more frustrated. lol. The thing should be bullet proof.
-
Got a call from my buddy the mechanic today. He pulled the carbs again and cleaned them thoroughly and made sure the jets were clear. Told me that lots of fuel is getting to the carbs so it doesn't look like a fuel line issue to that point. If it still didn't run right he talked about possibly drilling out the jets a size bigger?... I guess that is something he had to do before on a Honda 25 he was working on that was having a similar issue. Going to take her for a rip tonight to see if the problem is still there. Fingers crossed.

The guy wasn't going to fit in in the new Babcock culture that will try to be instilled in this team. It will all start with hard work and 2 way play. But man o man are the leafs going to be bad next year. Yikes

Tank of Seafoam is going through it now. I will get it fixed for free one way or another. I am glad it is narrowed down to something not major. Thanks to everyone who has given advise thus far. It is much appreciated.
