It has been a while since I have caught a laker on Simcoe so I decided enough was enough and called on Steve Robotham to take us out for a morning charter. Jaydub and I managed to ice some nice laker and we took a couple home each as well. Big thanks to Steve who taught us a thing or two about fishing on the hardwater. Nothing huge (biggeest was right around 5 pounds) but it was great to be out on such a nice day. I also have a video somewhere as well. Jaydub, feel free to add pics. Now I need a Vex!!!! There was a nice abu garcia combo as well in Barrie. I bought a portable colour Eagle fishfinder at half price and I also bought an Abu Garcia 503 ALBi for half price. I bought the real from Midland but the Fish finder from Barrie.

Wow! I wonder if this is the same guy I gave a ride to in the summer. I picked up a hitch hiker in Barrie and he said he was a survival guy. He didn't seem to have much in the way of provisions and it was really raining hard. I was on my way fishing so he showed me his fishig lures. Some really big plastic worms and big hooks and some line. I stopped the car and hooked him up with the rest of my gulp fish fry and some good quality smaller octopus hooks and some drop shot weights. I taught him how to rig a drop shot and told him what to do. He was very thankful. I wasn't going as far as Orillia but it was raining so hard I decided to drive him to there anyway. We got to talking and he said he was a singer songwriter and just did odd jobs to help people out. He said he did more christian or gospel type music. He too was travelling up to Huntsville area and said he had done a few trips like this before. I really didn't think he was prepared for the weather even in the summer when I picked him up. He didn't even have waterproof boots. Wonder if this is the same guy? He had glasses on this summer.

You can use a mini SD card in the Olympus. No need for the XD. I have used the miniSD and it is fine (there is an adaptor that comes with the camera)

I am not a Pronger fan at all but he really had a solid game. As far as Sid not scoring much, just remember this. Every other team puts out their best shut down line as soon as Crosby is on the ice. He often has to play against the best opposing defensive players. This is beneficial to the rest of his team as those defensive specialist never play against other lines thus allowing for more offense when Sid is on the bench.

Closing ceremonies was head and shoulders better than opening ceremonies (in my opinion). Great ending

Canada wins 1st period and part of second period. USA wins a good part of 2nd period and pretty much all of the third. Canada wins overtime. USA is a solid team indeed and they were not there by accident or fluke. They were legit

I think we have done awesome. Not to rain on any parades, just want to remind people that there are several new events that were not included in the winter games (even as late as 2002). An example would be the long track speed skating persuit. It was introduced in 2006. In 1976 there were no aerials, moguls, skeleton, curling or snowboarding events to name a only a few. Money is the key. Go to the B2ten web site and see how their sponsored athletes have done during these Olympics. They only have 20 that are in the winter olympics and of those 20 that are completely sponsored by private anonymous business people, 12 have sored medals and an amazing 7 are taking home Gold!!! That is sick. B2ten is a nuts and they do it right!
