Watching Musky Hunter. THey are fishing Canadian side 2 in boat plus camera man = 3 guysn boat. THey are trolling 6 rods. Obviously Lake St. Clair allows 2 rods per person?

lol. I doubt it. Neiter of them can figure out how to clean or cook. Actually the one the right can make kraft dinner. SHe has a crazy temper and fights all the time. Good luck to the poor soul who gets that for the rest of his life. lol. Kraft dinner and beatings for him.

I am not sure if it was a wise decision but I decided to take the 2 out of my 3 daughters onto the ice today on Simcoe. Things worked out better than anticipated. I think those 2 cold nights last week really firmed things up. There is still a good 2.5" of ice out there. Just be careful, there are a few larger cracks starting to open up. I took a pic of the girls on the ice. The girls probably should have been wearing survival suits but they probably would have got heat stroke due to the 19 degree temps outside.

nope. Golden Medonte now. Private. I think there is more open water now around shanty bay. lol! Maybe too early for joking around about that.

possible fine is $410 per person per truck and 5 trucks were used. Possible $2050 fines. That was real training for the rescuers. REally tested their equipment in horrible conditions. Some equipment was not up to the challenge. Similar to when the oro fire dept lost a boat a few years ago during a rescue. Some stunning video from rescue. Amazing how fast the ice sheets break up in the waves. You think anyone was trolling off the back of the sheet? lol Best possible scenario for all involved. Incredible! Glad the opp chopper was so close in Orillia.

my question is this. WHy not keep the car numbers matching and if you don't want it, sell it for $50 - $60k plus and then go out and buy a slighly more worn 318 car and do the mod on that one. Just makes no sense to me. I must be missing something here.

There were these 6'6 rods at walmart by shakespeare that are $15.97 and they are pretty sweet. THey are black with blue. My buddy has 2 of them and i have used them. Probably as good as any $50 rod I have ever used. PS Friends don't let friends use ugly stiks (and neither should dads) lol

Yes. Take south gibson lake rd. It is off the 400 extenstion. Easy to access and decent enough. It is about 5 minutes off the hwy. I have fished that lake since I was 18. It is a bit tricky but every year I fish there the fish are still in the same spots. I actually really like the lake. Come see me if you plan on fishing it and I will give you some spots.

I have caught tons of fish there in the summer. Walley, Pike, crappie, smallmouth, and largies. Not to mention huge suckers and tons of sunfish. The lake holds lots of fish in specific areas. I am not sure how much these fish will move but I know for a fact I have never caught a fish in that lake over 20 ft down. From what I understand, there is an oxygen issue below that. Not sure how true it is. I have boat loads of photos too. I am sure if you use the search you can find them.

This is a true statement. Brian is having medical issues. Wish him the best.

I always laugh at the fishmania show but I can't help but watch it. I love the weigh in format. I make fun of it but if it is on I have to watch it. As far as Hook and Look goes, I used to think it was good when they "fished first and then filmed underwater later". Don't know if they did that before but it was edited that way. I don't get wfn but this month it is free and I watched it yesterday and I was shaking my head when the diver was actually telling him when to reel, and when to stop. "man he is aggressive" the diver says. LOL. Really???? It is on its bed! Duh! I actually told my wife this can't be legal. SHe didn't really care as she was not really watching. I was surprised at them and kind of ashamed of them.

I would skip a wacky rigged senko or weightless tube around the dock. I would then use a square billed crankbait and work the channel and the edge of the pads beside the channel. I would toss a wakebait beside the pads near shore and finally hit the middle of the pads with my livetarget frog.

I have an almost brand new condition Okuma Celilo 8'6" rod you can have for $35. It is in perfect condition and is a nice rod that can be used for many fishing methods and species. I actually have 2 of them.

The exam got way more difficult. A colleague of mine said she had to go online and study for 2 hours (or allow 2 hours to pass) before she was able to sit the test.

yes. 1.5 - hands down best crank i have ever used

Hey Mike. Nice fish. A grouper for sure. I don't want to hijack this thread but take a look at this old post I made. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34796&st=0&p=369361&hl=hamour&fromsearch=1entry369361 Those grouper I used to catch are called Tawina Grouper and they look very similar. Their local name in Abu Dhabi and Dubai is Hamour. Awesome tasting fish. Very mild and very white meat. Melt in your mouth. Would have been nice to have some grilled grouper for sure! They are like tanks. I have had them hit the line, pull about 50 yards and just sit in a hole at the bottom of the sea without a hope of pulling them out with my 30 pound test.

Lol. Let's agree to disagree. By the way I am in no way a pats fan and wanted the giants to win.

lol. Give me a break. I knew you would say that beacause he is a slot. Is he 6'2" with a 40 inch ver and runs a 4.2 40? no but lots of those "wide outs" won't run a slant across the middle like Welker. Welker is faster than you think and he often does draw double from the LB and a safety (not a corner). If you don't think he is elite because of an article THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN JUNE BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED, you need to look at other articles. The numbers don't lie. A receiver can look awesome on paper and be very average on teh field. Welker looks below average on paper yet leads the NFL in 5 of the 9 major categories. I guess Elite up here means something totally different. my bad http://bleacherreport.com/articles/909110-top-5-wide-receivers-in-the-nfl-this-season#/articles/909110-top-5-wide-receivers-in-the-nfl-this-season/page/5

You are kidding right? Welker is probably the best slot receiver at the moment. Number 2 overall for yards and number 1 for catches and number 1 for yards after a catche What exactly is your definition of receiver?? I think I study football pretty well. You need to get some facts straight. RK PLAYER TEAM REC TAR YDS AVG TD LONG 20+ YDS/G FUM YAC 1DN 1 Calvin Johnson, WR DET 96 158 1,681 17.5 16 73 32 105.1 1 524 77 2 Wes Welker, WR NE 122 172 1,569 12.9 9 99 21 98.1 0 732 77 3 Victor Cruz, WR NYG 82 131 1,536 18.7 9 99 25 96.0 1 595 59 4 Larry Fitzgerald, WR ARI 80 153 1,411 17.6 8 73 25 88.2 0 493 61 5 Steve Smith, WR CAR 79 129 1,394 17.6 7 77 29 87.1 3 474 53 6 Rob Gronkowski, TE NE 90 124 1,327 14.7 17 52 22 82.9 0 656 69

Are you kidding me? Ok there were some drops but the 2 you are talking about are Welker's and Hernandez. Wes welker is arguably the number one receiver in the NFL. If he was put on waivers EVERY team in the league would be lined up to pay him whatever he wanted. Hernandez- Second year player and possibly the 3rd best tight end in the NFL behind Gronkowski, his teammate and maybe Gonzales. I rank him above gates. Same scenario for him if he was ever released. Not going to happen. It was an average game until the 4th quarter then it got good. NY outplayed NE. MVP or MVplay was manningham's catch. Outstanding.
-
Nope. He is arguably the best receiver in the league bar none. He had more catches for more yards than any receiver this year. He was one of the biggest reasons they made it that far. Pass was a bit behind him but he is so athletic despite being way undersized that he makes a difficult catch look very catchable. IF he catches the ball it makes for a shorter hail mary to win, that is all. Trust me he did not cost them the game. I watch way too much football.

Just met with someone regarding the attempt to make a fishing specialty area in the 2 Barrie stores and in Midland also. THey had buch of high end stuff that will be going in like Shimano crucial and compre and clarus rods. G-Loomis rods . Fenwick HMX rods. Corado and citica baitcasters, stratic and stratic cI4 spinning reels. Lots of higher end daiwa reels as well. Garcia Revo baitcasters and good spinning reels. Abu Veritas rods. A whole section of musky lures including a full line of Bucher lures and Bulldawg and a bunch of inline spinners. Cannon and scotty downriggers. Minn Kota motors with 80lb+ thrust. G-Loomis sweatshirsts, hoodies and hats. Reef runner lures zoom soft plastics and a bunch more stuff. Should be interesting. Not sure if there is a market for it. I also told him about xzone slammers and swammers and when we looked it up the kingston store and one other store already stocks them so he thought it would not be a problem. He was missing some essentials like good drop shot weights and circle hooks but most of the stuff was quality. There was a whole bunch of dodger and fly combos too. Interesting. There was a bunch of other stuff but I can't remember. Oh yeah, frog toggs rainwear. This was the rep and apparently this is going to happen. We'll see.

I'm Agonizing Over This Boat Buying Decision
Cudz replied to solopaddler's topic in General Discussion
Is Princecraft a Canadian company? Just another factor if that is the case.
