  2. looks like free fly tying material to me
  3. LOL kevin! Well like I said ive used roe bags fished on bottom at gores landing for carp and I dont think those carp have ever seen a roe bag in their lives, then again they will eat everything...
  4. Ive caught carp on roe bags at rice lake! haha also while fishing for chinnies at the local marina ive caught pike and smallies on skein. So yeah ill say it works for other fish also. As for fishing it on bottom I cant say cause ive never done it lol
  5. Haha thanks, but there isnt any rocket science behind fishing for fish that will actually bite! Im sure alot are tempted to just fish for nooks since there are so many but bellow the 100s of them sit the fish that I actually target. The best feeling is drifting a pool with tonnes of visible chinnys clearly avoiding my line like i want them to then my float shooting down and from all those dark boots is a glimmer of chrome Ofcourse sometimes its inevitable and you will hook into chinnies, thats why I use small thin steelhead hooks so i can just bend them out
  6. Like nothing ive every fought before! Super fast runs and aerials that even a bow cant compare to. I cant wait til we start seeing them in big numbers again... although I have a feeling it will take quite some time.
  7. Haha thanks! Although I don't credit myself as a photographer, nothing more than me going out fishing with a nice camera lol. I have to admit though, it feels good to know that people appreciate the pics I take Well heres some more from the last trip, anyone else fish in that crazy rain last friday? It was definitely worth it. Enjoy And why it was worth it for me Tightlines!

  18. Haha I use my pins for any fishing that alows me to ie any float fishing or bottom bouncing. ever since ive used one ive always loved the feel of fight more than any other reel!
  19. Alot of things changed for me in May. The restuarant has picked up with the warmer weather so work has had me tied down for the most part, the days im not working im usualy out fishing somewhere and any time inbetween consist of eat, sleep, and party. Also after a couple last steelie trips earlier in the month I have focused most of my fishing on warmer water species as its weird for me to fish for steelies when I can wear a t shirt and shorts out. I think its about time I give em a break anyway and even out my longsleve tan I aquired while fishing in the spring sun with jackets on. I think my next priority is getting a hair cut  now onto the pics!
  20. Might not have anything to do with it but the lake size could also play a factor. I know that some(or maybe all) tank fish grow according to the size of their tank regardless of how much their fed.
  21. So very true my friend, those fish are deffinatly well guarded hah.
  22. Ive also bumped into my fair share of Tomato plots, one even had spent shotgun shells littering the place... needless to say we walked out of there really fast, maybe even ran as we got closer to the car haha.
