They go spastic when you get them out of the hole. I wouldnt worry about keeping yer waders on. There are so many out there,we been catching more of them the any other specie. Not much you can do. You mentioned you chain sawed a hole. Hope you marked it well. Sounds like you guys had a fun day. Wet feet suck.

Rob,I have the drill switched to low speed. More torque.All I do is hold the drill. Adding the extension makes it so much more easier as well. I believe Terry used an impact model. I,ll leave it for him to say how it worked.

IMO Shane,the only dif like I said,is the larger screen and gps. Mine worked great today.

The hooks are almost like the nils. Oh,and there aint no more of them. Tom only had a few,and they sold out fast. Did I mention it was windy out there today? I hate wind,even in 0 temps. Decided to put the hub up. it was tricky. It almost got away from me. If it did,it would of made it,s way to Pefferlaw.LOL After I got the first screw anchor in,then the second,it was COMFORTABLE.

Hey Pete. I just want to say that I found it best today. There was no one around me,and I could mark any size jig(strongly) Think that might be our issue. Fishing with the masses.LOL

The fresh scent of cucumber was a nice change today. The stink of those pesky herring were starting to realy make my grabbing glove stink. LOL Today was the day to try an old haunt that I use to get whitefish. I even bought a new jig,that was pretty close to the green monster (color wise) I have not been able to find in a few years. That jig was a white fish magnet.. Came across this little gem. It,s not a Rapala. It cost me $3 I bought two.LOL As I watch it decend to the depths,I pause it at the 40 ft mark,50 and 60. As I just start to let it drop from the 60,this line barrels from 75 fow. It makes a bee to the jig. I stopped it,line is on it and wham. That was so cool to see. The battle is on. It was a fat whitie. It was bigger then I like to keep. As I dont freeze my fish. Cook fresh that day and would of been to much for the mrs,s and I.. So a quick pic,and back down the hole she went. Ahh the scent of cucumber. I love it. Oh ya,it,s a slush pit out there. Some areas there was over a foot. Dam work out I could use though.

Steve,I walk as well and didnt take your post as negative.. Like I posted earlier,,I take both packs and keep them in an insulated lunch bag. As for weight,my H20 sled pulls with ease. I have my hub,back pack,finder,augar,lunch bag and rods. Oh and my heater. Very small one. As for holes,I figured I drilled 30 holes yesterday. One pack was done.Traded up. Today I cut another 20 with the second one. Didnt need to drill anymore,as I found the fish.LOL The packs are old,so they dont hold the charge as well anymore. The one Terry used yesterday,it was still full of power when we were done. He has a big drill and battery packs,but drilled just as many holes. Always knew you were a cool cat.LOL

Ya it didnt matter what depth we fished,they were there. 70 fow and shallower. Im getting the hang of the new machine. I was even able to get rid of the clutter from the greaser beside me. Interfernce was nadda. problem.

Shane,your talking depths that we all can pick up our jigs. It,s once the jig gets to the 85+ and down,it fades away. 80 FOW and above,I have no isssues. When down at 100 FOW +,I cant mark it well at all. I have to jig the bait to see it. Even then,it,s a blip on the screen.
