I sliced a piece and yes, it,s brown not pink like the store, I fried a slice. . I tried it first. OMG The mrs,s was like I want some. So, what ya think? When I knew it was all good, I sliced it up. THICK PLEASE. Cooled and bagged. I didnt go the single slice thing. I will cook it a bag at a time. The trimmed rind is candy. Thanks to each of you for all your help . BACONBOTIET

Very true. I was just pointing out that all, not just one or two brands, have this issue. I guess with the design of the hub,it,s the only way the door can be made.

I stopped into Cabelas today. The frabil quilted one is sweet, but pricey. Lots of head room. One thing I found with ALL of the makes, the zippers are all hard to pull to close up the door. They had them sitting outside, so it was a good day to test this out.

Michael Thank you very much for the great updates and reports. Im sure there have been a few thousand on lookers seeing your updates, and thats all well and good. You may have saved a few from going in for a cold wake up call, or maybe even not a wake up. Im thinking Im going to sit back and wait one more week. Next week looks like more ice making temps.
