  1. Going there from Thursday evening to Sunday morning. Have not been there since mid July. Does anybody want to give me a start up on baits to try out there for this time frame, it's been a year since I last fished there at the end of August and I pulled in a 4lb largie off shore so I know big bass are there. Going to start off with a 1/20z black/blue bass jig, a 3" chigger craw and a skitter pop...Let's face it, I always catch the bass. Sometimes only a few and other times lot's but I don't think a SKUNK has been issued all year for me. So, any suggestions? I know green tube's kill there but I won't have boat access(or green tubes) so that's a no go. So aside from that, how has the fishing been out there and most importantly what's been working. Thanks, MTBF
  2. haha that's awesome dude!
  3. O my god...Epic Lake trout
  4. Sounds stupid to me. More people trying to make others spend money.
  5. Nice job, I'm heading to Lake Seymour this weekend. Definitely throwing around the skitter pop at night and early in the mornings.
  6. I was up in Parry Sound area of G-Bay on the weekend and had a hard time landing fish also. Caught 3 or 4 small 1lb or less smallies and missed a pike...aside from that nothing, was not impressed.
  7. Bam, nice bass man!!Definitely a high4 low 5lb largemouth! Get urself a rapala digital scale and bring it with u. 10 seconds on the scale and u got a confirmed weight. Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  8. Ok, I think I'm catching the drift of the way things are going here. Thanks for the feedback and well I guess I'll hold on to the stuff I got and well I'll just better organize it so no new stuff for me lol. Wait, now people know what I have!!!I better delete that info on pg1
  9. No, we don't have a trailer for it sadly. Or a hitch on our van, would like both so Scugog trips could be a weekend regular. Or some of those lake up Lindsay way.
  10. lol, ya no. I just hate lugging around all that crap when I only stick to productive techniques. And when there not using I try out my other productive things...Too much is not used and a clean fresh start is something I'm wanting.
  11. Ok, so my parents, and most importantly my friend made me realize something yesterday...I have too much fishing baits that I don't use. A friend of mine asked me to set him up yesterday for fishing. We hit Wal Mart and got him set up with a beauty Shimano spinning combo and a bigger single sided plano case with some tackle. I showed him maybe 10 things that worked really well for me and well he has a amazing starting collection and with a knot tying lesson and a texas rigg lesson he is ready for action. Came to a hundred and 50 bucks and he has better stuff than me. All the things that work really well for me I dont even have most of the time. Things like green tubes and dingers, certain color cranks and well hooks. I have all this tackle and I don't know how to use most of it lol(within reason) I'm asking what some of you would think If I were to sell and start over spending maybe a hundred or 2 on new fish catching proven tackle. Here is what I have and yes I would sell it all, for now IMO 5-6hundred bucks would be worth the gear. Any insight as well OFC and kijiji would be where I would post up all my stuff. Don't want to get ripped or be too pricy. EDIT**Think I got the clues to hold on to my stuff. comment more if u like but i understand now. Please with all honesty, Thanks MTBF
  12. My first real boat will need to be a Triton...nothing huge maybe a 16-18' boat with something in the one hundred's for HP As for that 290 by nirto, would love to get it for free but would never buy it myself.
  13. I just throw it out and watch my line. Once on the bottom, just snap ur rod up a few times and reel in...then let it fall.
  14. I finally heard from her last night while I was browsing OFC lol. Good to hear from her again.
  15. I'm with gerritt, unless I'm using a circle hook, then I tie a Snell
  16. Those BPS tubes work real well. Mine only last for about 15 fish give or take...then the tentacles are all fallen off. If it was used once and it still sits firm on the tube jig then ur good 2 go!
  17. Great job on the Musky and that smallie! Definitely need to get out there again before the fall hits. Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  18. Nice job man, frog fishing can be tough at times, but always gets the bass biting!
  19. Nice job on the pike! Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  20. Nic job bud! MTBF
  21. Pretty windy here about 20minutes ago. Just heard/saw a big lighting bolt then a bam, sounded like a generator or something blew.
  22. Dave's Picks In case you were not checking back on his site...And some words for us at OFC lol http://factsoffishing.com/index.php Enjoy, MTBF
  23. Wing Live Bait & Tackle next to Gagnon Sports great little place with kind owners that really take the time to make you happy. They also run there little Wings Live Bait year round tournament. At the end of each year the biggest Bass(Small and Large) Pike and I think another species they do a free replica mount for the winner and I believe they also hand out trophy's. Been there for years and years now and I can't see it going anywhere else! MTBF
  24. Indeed they do, I always cast parallel to stay in a similar depth zone when off shore or a dock. And I only cast to shore in a boat when the area is covered in matted weeds or pads(snake fishing). If the area I'm fishing from off shore has room for me to cast I'll 9times out of 10 throw the bait out to the side, but it depends what I'm fishing for, and where I think the fish might be. When I'm out of college and fishing tournaments I'll let a few hundred bucks do all the work for me...Until then I'll gain my own pride when I find the fish...not the generously proportioned or sonar.
  25. Nice job on the Smallies, everybody has night's like that when some of the fish just wont come in...but taking the hook off a lure, that's a first lol. Can't wait to catch some smallies! Thanks for sharing, MTBF
