Yes sir, my Big 3 are a, 6lb 13oz 4lb 10oz 4lb's Looking to upgrade the single digit 4 but man, not to bad for a beginner boat'r. Funny thing is the biggest and the smallest of the 3 came off shore, the other was from the boat. O well, looks like a good year in my books so far! Thanks for the comments also fello fishers. If any of you have been fishing a area for several trips and came out with nothing a fish like this gives you a burst of confidence and satisfaction. MTBF

Unreal, wish I had more of them, casting is second to none with mine. Great fight feel also and the slightest thump from lures is so nice to feel. 10/10 Wonder where BPS Christmas $$ will go to this year lol I got some pic's up on FB Rob if you want to get the comments going on there for me bra.

As any other story I went out this evening in search for a Musky that I had last night on the Scugog River. Throwing around a buzzbait and some jerk baits on the new setup I finally got around to using a Spinnerbait, something that is a new bait to me, never had the right tools for the job of throwing it. Was at the same spot as last night and attached a White Booyah Spinerbait onto my leader and rolled it straight on in, same as last night I had this BIG river Largemouth Smash the bait up close to shore just where the water clarity gets murky and bam, smashed it and was instantly hooked, peeled some drag then I loosened it and my buddy was up right fast to get the photos. It weighed 4lb even and this was a true Scugog River Trophy IMO. Also this was my first fish on the Baitcast setup and my first on a Spinnerbait. Was amazing to see, btw the reel was flawless again tonight, even was throwing dingers after and was having no problems making excellent distance. Photo's: Not a mark on her, pure beauty Length shot(guessing 18-20") Now the spinnerbait+Rod shot lol Glory at last And my favorite, the release shot Put in the time and success will occur, Yours Truly MTBF

Man, what a feeling eh. Not sure if you read my sad story about topwater musky but he took mybait, did the same as you and did some casting afterwards but nothing was around .....not much can be done.

Sounds good man, looking forward to trying to flip docks with the new setup. Going to pratice abit on Scugog in Port Perry this weekend with Profisher...Those and scum frogs.

Great job man, making me want to catch a Musky even more man Thanks for sharing, MTBF -
Great job OFC! See we can make differences here. One happy angler later OFC had the power to make it happen!

This is a bass combo though, going to be 30lb but like seriously 85lb braid...lol, I'll get my musky this fall. Just a matter of time I guess.
-
Perhaps 40 but that drag was very tight and it pulled away like nothing, i litterally battled this fish for a good 15seconds until she got hung up...it was strong and somthing i never experienced before, like i said to somebody else, it's back was like as thick as a pop bottle...

What is your favorite hook for Senkos?
MCTFisher9120 replied to gogu392's topic in General Discussion
Gamagatsu 4/0 Wide Gap Hook for the texas rig. -
Palomar knot man, like the tension under this log that i couldnt see was pretty tight bit the fish was still pulling line some how, i had no control and even had time to get my shoes off in attempt to "get in"...not sure what he was on but a lighter drag might mean more tangles. not sure, all I know is i have fuel for the hunt. I have yet to have a knot slip(even with braid) but under that circumstance im not sure what could of happened...
-
Like this fish kept on running, unreal of the strenght it had. The drag was fairly tight and the line was 20lb test. Been using it all summer for bass with no problems. My concern was pulling it back from the cover, i had a trailer hook and the main hook so in the heat of the moment i thought i could get him in, perhaps it was bigger than i thought, but it had a thick back, like a 2L pop bottle...was a big musky/

I hope all of you see this post from me but that braid was great. I would pop the button down then hold down with my thumb..release it when i cast. Was throwing a 08xrap at first and it was fine, then that buzzbait, then a skitter pop. Direction was iffy but I say i took about 100 casts in a hour or 2...Very good reel and I'm surprised as to how good that spool stops with my thumb.

I went down to the river to try out the new combo for awhile. Was throwing a jerkbait for awhile then went to a buzbait. Thought it would be a good match with the MH rod. Was throwing it around for awhile at a spot, then left then returned for a few more casts. Burning it in through logs a 35"+ Musky smashed this 1/40z Chartruese Cavitron buzzbait! I waited a second then layed the hooks into him, he started ripping drag(that was TIGHT!!) to the right of me along the shore and I had not very much control of this fish, like I'm a baitcast amature and this thing owned me lol Was still fighting it out for maybe 15 more seconds then my line stops changing dircetion but it's still going out I see the water moving around and I'm running around the shore from side to side keeping tenshion and trying to get it out, after taking my shoes off and about to run in i see 1 last big wake come up then my line came spitting at me...no leader, no buzzbait, no MUSKY! I was heart broken. I thought I had this fish but it wooped my but, but man is the fight different on a baitcast. btw, I got one 5second birds nest on like the 5th cast, after that i was under tuning it for distance and i was doing fine, with some problems with direction. This was a step in my path to my achivement this week(for those of you that have my Facebook saw my goal) of catching a Scugog River Musky. Looks like a new leader and another buzzbait will be tied onto the rod. In this picture to the left in the tangles was were the beast was holding upon my return to the spot...And the pic prior to the spot. This bait had a trailer hook, a trailer... And the spot Unreal, Until the Musky is caught, MTBF
