  1. I'll give it a try. Last year i had 7 and the year before i had 3, I'm going for 10 this year.
  2. Nice boat man. WOW sure are lucky to own that beauty!
  3. Any clue if us without WFN can watch this series?
  4. Very nice selection of lures. I am also a shore angler and have not even half as many baits as you have, guess you might have a few more years of collecting on me though . From what i have i had good success with the x-rap slashbaits last year in the start of the bass season until i lost my baits to snags, and i see you have good numbers of these lures. Also look and try out the gold, and the purple ghost colors on those x-raps. Also a ideal topwater poper would be Rapala's Skitter Pop. I bought a cheeper BPS poper and it just was not the same, so again i strongly suggest the skitter pop. Aside from that you seem to have pretty much everything covered with the exception of more dinger/senko type lures and maybe 2 or 3 bass jigs to try out!
  5. What a huge fish, catching a world record sized musky wow must of been a amazing experience, Congrads!!
  6. Nice walleye's man!
  7. I saw a fishing video after i learned the snell and the man who was fishing the drop shot was using a palomar, this made the hook stick out vertically and was his fav knot. None the less i`m sure i will find many techniques where this knot will come in handy.
  8. Well right now i got a 6`6 medium action, medium fast Shimano spinning combo, and I also have a 7`medium heavy BPS spinning combo. I really like to use the 6`6 for my jerkbaits, cranks, tubes, and live bait. While i use the other rod for soft plastics in the weeds, heavier bigger jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and the odd lure from time to time. I really have been wanting to get either a 7` medium action spinning combo, or a 7` medium heavy action baitcasting combo. I like the spinning because it is what i am good at but i have seen and heard from many anglers that a good baitcast setup is ideal for bass fishing. It`s all about money and looking for the right deal to come along, but I have been toughing it out and have been doing considerably well for what i have.
  9. That second fish is beautiful! All the others are great also!
  10. Here is a very good video for doing this knot: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ukzfzws2jYY From what I know this knot is good for a drop shot rig. Just wondering what else I could use this knot for. And P.S. If you have not tried to do this knot before, give it a try it’s simple!
  11. I know nothing about river fishing gear but that looks like a kick reel.
  12. lmao, I'm glad somebody saw that early in the thread. Thanks for the heads up, i'll keep my eyes open
  13. Bass Fishing There are very many different actions between spinning and baitcasting rods. And i would like to know what techniques suit a certain action. Example-Crankbait fishing=? Action, Jerkbait= ? Action and so on...main techniques I’m interested in would be dinger/senko fishing, crankbaits, jerkbaits, drop shot, topwater, live bait(minnows), spinnerbait, jig fishing, soft plastic jerkbaits, anything of that sort. Aside from the drop shot, I have used these techniques for bass fishing(going to try drop shot this year). Medium Light Action Medium Action Medium Heavy Action Heavy Action A lot of you tourny guys should know what these actions of rods are used for as you and other anglers have lots and lots of rods. Under a budget, trying to decide on another rod/reel to get can be frustrating. As a shore angler i an not carrying around very long rods(7 1/2' max). As for different lenghts, i think it's about personal preference but I’m not going to argue as length does matter but is also something i consider on a individual basis. Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!
  14. I decided to make my life a hell of a lot easier so i put everything but my gulp & gulp alive in a plano double side container Now I am nice and organized. I also need to fill up another container Top: Bottom: Basically everything i need except for some more power worms.
  15. How do you move them from place to place. I'm guessing you have a boat or a truck you can easily put them into.
  16. Summer is the best time for fishing in my opinion. Summer mornings and evenings offer amazing topwater success. If you have a boat u can cover lot's of water and it makes for easy travel. If it's cool out u bring a sweater, if it's warm u bring shorts. Fights are much better as you can see jumps and such. If you loose something in the water you have a fairly good chance of getting it back. And it is just better fishing, almost all of the species of fish are open during the summer. What is there not to like about summer fishing.
  17. Nice cold Ginger ale or a bottle of water...
  18. A fish for the OFC 2009 Tourny already . Good job, perch are soo yummy, enjoy. Thanks for sharing!
  19. Most if not all soft plastics that are coming out now are heavily salted. Now once you get your bait all rigged up and chuck it out into the water lot's, if not all of the salt comes off the bait. So what is the point? Why is salt used? Does salt help to preserve the baits? I am thinking on emptying many of my zip lock bags of soft plastics into a nice new organised Plano container...Now i also have baits that originally had lot's of salt on them but with use of them, all of the salt has come off. Should i apply a bit of table salt to them, or should I leave them as they are?
  20. This pic makes me want to take out all of my soft plastics out of their bags and put them in a container...
  21. I have had my heart set on getting a Shimano Curado and a BPS Bionic Blade 7' M/H 2pc Trigger rod to go with it. If i had the money i would get it in a flash, from what i hear Daiwa makes good products. As for this specific combo, i have never seen it or heard of it's performance. But i would try out the Shimano Curado, if you were thinking of a upgrade later on.
  22. I don't think you have any of those killer Original Fishing Snakes there bud...They are one of the best topwater soft plastics out there Along with those comes my reliable Yum Dingers, and then you will be all set my friend.
  23. Man another song i like...
