I have 2 Mitchell 300 reels that have never been used. Does anyone know how to tell the age and value of them?

The 3 receipt route sounds good, I bought a boat package a few years ago, registered the trailer (taxes paid), registered the boat (free boat numbers), 2 years later, I get a letter from the government saying I owe them $$$ for the boat. I kinda thought when I got my boat numbers, all was good.

Can't wait to get this dam cast off my hand so I can get out and catch dinner. You guys keep me going in these dark days.
