Show us a pic of your fishing boat
Crimsongulf replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
I am getting this over in Crawfordville FL this weekend to be the Napanee boat. I have always liked a stick steer. -

For whatever reason AZ has not applied for approval. I guess they are focusing on Europe. -
Brunswick stew is like BBQ in the south, it depends on what region you are in. I make mine usually with one pound of beef, one pound of pork and one pound of chicken, I will use venison if any is available. My personal touch is that I do all of the meat on the smoker first. I still can't convert y'alls Kg stuff. When I grocery shop up there, I keep the conversion tables on my phone so I know what I am buying. 😎 As far as weather looks like we will be dodging naders (tornados) tomorrow.

Who and What can we believe today?

Ain't that the damned truth. Sometimes for grins I will watch CNN, Fox and MSnbc for coverage on the same event and it is all over the board. -

It seems to be very difficult to actually get news. What we get instead of news is someone's opinion about an event. Walter Cronkite is turning over in his grave. -

I can definitely tell you are in the business. Prior to selling and retiring in 2017 we had four tire and service centers. As far as my blue wrench comment, I would do what I call the "wave" just trying to get it warmed up and not cherry red. Of course, I also didn't go to the effort of looking up diagrams. Kudos -

PB Blaster is good stuff but IMHO Kano Kroil is a bit better if it is available up there. I think you should be able to free it up ok even if you have to take a few days repeating penetrant applications. A little touch of a blue wrench would probably help also. -
Interesting Truck Option, lifesaver during an outage

We use a automatic transfer switch that came with the generator and all of it was installed when we built the house. We have never had an issue and (knock on wood) have never run out of LPG. -

Well since I have recently paid the property tax and the insurance for the cottage and have a contractor lined up, we will be arriving no later than June 5th. I just hope maybe lumber prices will come down a bit. Building materials are high here and even higher up there. -

I have run across very few things in my 66 years that was a dead solid lock with zero unknowns. Every time that I leave to go to the grocery store there is no guarantee that I won't be in a fatal auto accident. -

I don't want to hijack at all, but are whole house generators very common up there. They are pretty common down here on the Gulf coast. We run a 20KW Kohler 3 phase LPG and it ran for three days after Sally. -

Wow, I was not aware that the wait was so long in Canada. I have already received both shots. The wife took her first one on 03/04 and will take her second one on 04/01. -

Our situation is different in that the wife is a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport so we can cross in pretty much any situation. To my knowledge the current situation with a land crossing is take a test at the border (Windsor) go to quarantine at the cottage and take another test in 10 days. Hopefully all of that hoopla will be in the rearview by May. We have both had the first Moderna shot and will have the second next week. Time for folks to get on with their lives. -

Since it is currently 37*F here on the Gulf Coast, it is some time for Brunswick stew.
