I'm just wondering if anyone will be fishing on Christmas Day besides me. Weather permitting that is.

Got up this morning... Looked at the clock. I want to sleeeeep!! My eyes haven't straighten out yet. See-----> I was thinking of all the pike out there waiting for me. From what I seen from SNAG'S report. I want to get into some action too. Its been such a long time since anything gave me a good tug. I got dressed, half-asleep and left home. It was dark out there couldn't see any thing. "Can you?" . What if some crazy animal came out from no where and came after me!! Where would I run? My eyes still haven't straighten out. "Is that the moon?" Am I headed in the right direction? Should have brought my GPS. Wait!! I see something. I see 3 tall trees trunks to the left reaching into the blue sky and behind it, "looks to be a upper parking stucture behind the trees. And two telephone boths to the right of that bright light. Doesn't look like the ferry docks. Got closer and sure it was. Things sure look weird when your eyes are all messed up from sleeping and trying to adjust in the dark. Got on the ferry safely no animals hunting me down!! Took a long nap as I listened to my MP3. Then I slowly woke up and took a look out the window.... Got off the ferry and I started to walk. As I walked along slowly. I started it get out of my sleep stage. The sun started to rise. I looked back at the ferry dock and thought... "All those lights... Kinda cool." Thought to myself. "Only if I had one of those. It would save me the trip and I could invite all the OFNer's. If they wantted to fish in morning or at night they could crash here. As I walked further I noticed this sign directly infront of the fire station. Hmm I wonder....if a pike was involved. Then I noticed they fixed this. Took a look into the water..All dead black leaves. No weeds at all. On to the next location. What a sight!! The sun was just beaming. The water was clear only 2 feet out and more black leaves. Only a few green weeds further out. A few casts here and there nothing, next location... Thought I'd try here too since I had to cross back over. No weeds can been seen anywhere. No follows either. Not even a gobie staring at me. The search continues.... This area didn't look great either no weeds at all and more black leaves. The hunt goes on... Oops a major tree has fallen. There were alot of trees down everywhere. Can't seem to figure out what this thing supposed to be. But it looks nice anyways. Oh well journey continues.. Oh here's the light house. Sure hate to have ran into this place under the cover of darkness. I'm sure you would too. You'll get chills down your spine. Since the sun was so bright and the air was so awesome I thought I'd check out the beach. Like the scenery so much I took two pics. Might use them as wall papers. Time for the pond. Tossed a few casts just for the fun of it. Cause it didn't look too promising. Next spot... Further down the pond I saw this... Decided to take a pic of it. Then my heart broke when I saw this poor baby carp. Must have been there least a few weeks. Poor thingy it could have been the next 50Lber for MJL. Finally the next location. My legs were getting tired. Tossed in Supershad raps, Cyclops, bucktails, then an X-Rap!! THEN BOOM!! Hey wait. how'd that get in my report? LOL Thats yesterday fishing adventure. It wasn't even my fish. LOL The final location.... Tossed in everything again bucktails, x-raps, zara's, shad raps with and with out leaders. Lures with and without lines attached to them and still no hits. (line snapped) After all that not even a follow. And the time was around 2:00pm and since the halans point ferry doesn't arrive til 3:15pm. I thought lets fish my way back to wards. Couple casts here and there and I made my way back. and still no follows. So I walked all the way back to Centre Island and fished beside the bridge. And yet still nothing. So I started heading back to wards island. I stopped off and made a few casts in the canals. Nothing. Then I ran into "SNAG and Fidel' they were heading for the same ferry and we compared notes. They had one and that was it. All in all we agreeded it was a tough day. The green weeds were hard to find and the fish were busy else were. But it was a great day to get out. The weather was just awesome out there. And the sun made it all worth while. dsn

Oh ok. I could think of a few things off hand but not sure how to describe the objects I'm thinking of. Cause I remember having this wooden square and a wooden ball. And each one was puzzle.The square or ball wood be cut in peices and different shapes and they all must inter-lock in a certain way, In order to get it back to its original shape . Depending on which one you buy (a square or ball ). But the only thing you would have to do is... take away the instructions once you take the square or ball apart. LOL The instructions tell you how all the pieces fit together. let me do a search and see if I come up with anything or any photos. ahh here it is!! calmplex.com

Thanks for all the nice comments about the quality of the pics I'm kinda impressed too. As for that location I caught my very first strip bass there many years ago. It was my first time fishing. Never fished before. I remember using a dry fly and a split shot and just dropped it down and sat there and waited with my cheap closed face baitcaster. Then all of a sudden my line goes tight and something was pulling hard on the line. I didn't know anything about drags back then Good thing the fish didn't break me off. I do recall someone came and landed the fish with a net for me. We also caught some monster perch out of there too. Lets hope they create a warm water discharge out of there. dsn

Ok , Ok let me exsplain this. See in this photo the orange fencing running parallel here? This is a cannal that runs north into a outflow and the south end is facing The Leslie Street Spit and also ends up in Lake Ontario. In the summer carp would be in here and sunfish, perch and the odd pike. Lost of bass too. So I guess this is the fishing part of the report. O hope they don't mess up this cannal better yet I hope they create a warm water out flow through this cannal. dsn

Well I had to get rid of my old 1mp HP digital and went on a mission to seek out a New digital and a good deal. Wow there's lots of great deals to be had. Henry's has a great deal. I ended up buying my Canon A700 for $349.00 6mp and 6x optical with 3.2 digital. After I bought it I then seen in the papers Aden had a 8mp for $359.00 I forgot the brand and the optical specs on that one. But that was a good deal also. Today I went and tried for some pike and got skunked Was hoping to get some shots. Instead I ended up with a report on Hydro One's construction going on down at Lake O . Looks like the construction for Hydro One is under way. Not sure when this project will be finished and running. But it could be another "Hot Spot" for fishing if any warm water comes out if it. Here's the shots from my new digital. I used to use this spot as a early spring testing sight for carp feeding. I would chum and leave. Come back the next day and check my food. But I haven't fished it for awhile:lol: Anyways I'm impressed with my new digital. I'm glad I have a photography background or I'd be lost learning all the functions of these high tech toys. Everything seems so complicated all of a sudden.

Yeah I go Ice fishing. It's my past time through winter. After all winter is the longest season we have here. But I guess we might not get winter this year. dsn

Yeah cast-away helicopters are tough to learn from what I hear. I'm still waiting for my turbine F-14 or f-16. Where did you buy your RC? Sure would to see them get a carp on with the heli flying. dsn

I was wondering what room I was in. Wow its amazing. Everything looks so festive!! I'm just wondering how many hours does it take to transform a board into this? And how did she do it? Would you have to shut the entire board down to make all these changes. Would be interesting to know. Just carious. dsn
