I went to change the gear oil and i noticed the rubber "O" ring on the plug screw had deteriated past what I feel safe using. Is there any place in the Niagara Penninsula that I can purchase these from. Think I'd like to change the whole screw plug and O ring. I used to get parts threw Port Pier Marine - but I hear that they have closed shop. Anyone local have any other suggestions? Don

Hey Leafs - Turn around - Ottawa is RIGHT behind you!!!! Don

Wayne - we used something similar out on Erie years ago and they worked fine. Good if you have a release and don't want to pull up the cannonball. You can also use them to run a second line off the riggers ( kept far apart ). If you have the cannonball retrieves it will pull the cable in enough to clip them to the cable. Don

Well the skunk is finally over - but barely! We launched outta the public launch behind the now closed Tip of the Bay. Real nice launch We were out on the water and set up fishing by around 7 am. First fish was a medium sized pike that really fought well. Thought I was into a good walleye and was dissapointed when I finally got to see it. It was caught off the boards in about 45 feet of water using a deep diver perch pattern. After that it was nothing for a couple of hours - then the rigger went off and I got a 6.3 lb walleye - not hugh by Quinte standards but it was good to finally get one. Walleye was caught on a glass perch ( purple ) down 32 feet off the riggers. Thanks to Dann ( skeeter ) for being such a great net man! Don

Hey Mike ( how are you ) - I have a Polaris 500 and have never had a problem with it ( so far ). I even pulled a couple of Hondas out that were stuck in the snow. I also know 2 other people with Polaris Atv's and love them - one of the reasons that I bought Polaris. I can't speak for Hondas but I know that Polaris parts are easily available and reasonable. Try to buy Artic Cat parts - eeverything seems to be a 2 week special order item. Don Oh - and my Polaris pulled my boat out of the back yard like nothing - My ford F-150 couldn't budge it! Don

Joey - in the first picture you are going over the "Garden City Skyway " - thou I think it has a new name now. The water below is the Welland Canal. Sorry to hear you guys didn't fair to well but at least it was a great day to be out on the water. I was gonna try to go to the G2G, being from St. Catharines, but the walleyes in Quinte were calling out to me. Great post and nice pictures Don

I believe that you were talking to my fishing partner (skeeter ). I was out at the car/boat. My buddy came out and said that he may have led you to believe that it was his boat I broke the skunk but barely - one walleye at 6lbs 3 ozs and a pike a little bigger Don

Sorry Rick - didn't see your reply. No I am not a member as of yet. I will probably be joining in the spring. I am aware of the club and the good things that it does. I have not fished the Great Lakes much in the last 15 years but now I find myself gaining interest again. Hope to get out on Erie and Ontario in the spring before the boat heads north to the trailer for the summer. I did get a very good map sent to me by a board member and in turn I sent it to my wife's computer and she printed it off for me. Thanks for the kind offer thou. Don
