  1. if ya don't have a float suite for ice fishing then I would put it all (and them some) towards a suite. they aren't just for ice fishing ya know... a baitcaster is a good toy to have but you want to hold a bunch and take time to match it to the right rod so a quick trip to BPS might not give you enough time.

    made my day

ouch, that gets a big "D'OH!" on her part...
  3. Do you have an auger? if so, buy another metal tub the same size as the handel and weld a 3/8 bit into it.
  4. So I was just out picking up some things for stocking stuffers and this happens… As I walk to my car from the store a woman walks up to me holding out a box and says to me “have you heard about the Slap Chop promotion we are running today?”. I of course laugh out loud and say “no, but you’re gonna love my nuts!” as I hold up a bag from the bulk barn. She wasn’t impressed but I sure was… HAHA
  5. $8.00 at CTC for a basic one, I just looked for one too...
  6. I've seen them for $25 but if you can weld then it's a whole lot less... my cousin made one for me so I'll be testing it out this year but I have low expectations about the end result...
  7. either "the bog" or four mile for me...
  8. Mike, I'm going to be just off Stephenson Point Rd on the 1'st (well I hope I will be) over the Holidays so if you are in the area PM me Geoff
  9. Yeah, what he said...
  10. Your idea Rick gave me a good use for an old cut down broom stick I have kicking around. I had a 2-pack of door stopers (not sure why either) so now all I need is the smaller dowel for the tip. I figure I can use old spent line spools as my spool. all I need to do is drill a hole in part of one of the crossings and stick a zip-tie trough, close the loop and use it as my handel. thanks for all this info in this thread! COME ON JAN 1 2010!!!!!!
  11. Some of you will remember this post that I used for my first WFN blog... http://www.wfn.tv/ambassador/admin/content...?content=401664
  12. We go skating and tobogganing together all the time. The kids love it! Even when my son was 1-year old he had a blast (now 3-years old). We would just send him down the smaller part of the hill with a rope tied to the back of his toboggan so we can control the speed. I can't wait to get to the cottage this weekend as my father cut out a nice bobsled type run for the kids.
  13. you can get an auger at a decent price so just get one.
