It's funny what you say about the Dr. I wouldn't ever assume he was "in a state" but he sure did look like he was on hour 36 of a shift... I did keep it imobilised with a splint to help it heal faster. The satples are out now and all is well. MY Dr looked at it yesterday, removed the staples and said that I took very good care of it considering how well it's healed already...

also, places like princess auto has this tube for less the $1 a foot.

it must be those Dollarama batteries in the UPS TJ is using...

Woo hoo!!! The staples were removed by my Dr today and I could be fishing (well, able to fish) as early as the start of next week! Ummm, do I push it and try for this Sunday? We shal see...

Now that I have informed my father about the new reg's, he too will be watching all the time on the lake he's on. for those that need a float suit, time to get it is now before they start to sell out and turn into a huge backorder... ice pic's too...

Thanks Ron. My concern is not an over night hut but getting my clam 2000 set up, run back to the cottage, get this kids and get back out to see my hut damaged from some . I now know where the pan fish are on the lake where our cottage is and it's just out of view from the house... either way, thanks again.

The reason for this whole topic is we all know there are going to be some out there that thinks they are the law (and they are not the law) and that the whole lake is their lake. I guess I better print off 100 copies of the new reg's and keep'em handy to hand out to any telling me to get off the ice...

I have a good portable, clam 2000. But just to run in and get the kids I don't want to take it down. This is why I am asking. So I get out, get it all set up and pick up the kids for some fishing. Thanks though.

Hey Ron and Mike. I know the lake my folks are on the locals submitted a statement stating they do NOT support any new changes to FMZ 17. I’m sure there are a bunch of other lakes that sent in documents like this as well. As an avid angler and happy to see the new changes what kind of resistance and or disputativeness can we expect from said locals and what is our best way to avoid a situation? The last thing I want is get off the lake to go get my kids to come out and fish with me to come back and find my hut damaged, destroyed/burnt down with no offenders in sight. Your thoughts to avoid a potential problem or “situation” are appreciated, thanks. Geoff

HAHAHA, I was wondering if you noticed that part... As for infected, maybe the the bad pic but it's clean and not sore. The light part of the skin is loose skin, no puss. Thanks Lew, good to know.

That is good to hear! I just hope that the people that are NEW to ice fishing remember to clean up when they get off the ice...

The DR asked me how I am with needles and I told him I hate them and may throw up, so I guess he wanted it fixed so he wouldn't be near me if I chucked...

would you think it's to late to go get the staples pulled and stitches put in? I want this healed so I can get back out fishing! HAHA

I would have to take a guess using the 80/20 rule. 80% of you $ comes from...and 20% comes from... Steve get's paid to hunt bass more so then steel so right now, I would guess he's still hunting bass for $ and the end of the day BUT would like to get a day or 2 out looking for some silver bullets. just a guess though...
