thinking of buying a gopro?....might want to wait NF
Brettiop replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
If you really want one, dont wait.....the 499 price is just for pre-sale....will be 1000 in a few months -
I love taking pics and sharing pics as well, but if the law stated you could not take pics of OOS fish, or Post pictures of fish caught out of season, i would have zero problem with that The rule is certainly not useless for protecting the fishery....if it helps get OOS fish back into the water quickly to finish spawning/protect its eggs or nest, that can only help Catch a big bass that's guarding its nest, release it right away and it goes straight back to the nest to protect it... Catch a big bass and look for your camera, snap a few pics, drift 30-40 yards away....take the extra 10-20 seconds needed to help revive the fish...put it back and it likely has to look around for its nest for a few minutes, they finally get back to the nest and half the eggs have been eaten by bluegill....

I would be all for this being enforced, Ive taking a pic or two of an OOS fish before if i feel i can do so quickly and without harming the fish, but would never post it to Facebook or a fishing forum....not impressing anyone with an OOS fish anyways Its crazy to me that anyone would have a problem following this rule if asked...

While i have lost a phone while open water fishing, never down an ice hole.... Last year near the end of a pretty slow day on the lake, me and buddy were fishing in my pop up shanty a Shappel S3000 on a very windy day. This is a suitcase style shanty that u fold two sides upright, then put a 2 pc pole across the top holding the sides upright, this pole across the top basically holds the whole thing together...Well a gust of wind somehow managed to pop the top pole apart, then both pieces of said pole bumped off our heads/fishing rods and manged to find there way into 2 of the holes. This of course caused the shanty to collapse on us and we barely had a clue what just happened....it wasn't until we looked into the holes and noticed we each had a half of the pole at the bottom before we realized. The shanty was basically useless after that, i have fixed it with a pc of dowel in place of the poles but it just isn't the same....

I get the idea that the owner is giving this guy a chance to do the right thing, return them or bring in the cash.

Not going to lie I've been in my fair share of roman candles wars, worst thing that ever happened to one of us was a few pin holes in a sweater That copter version looks crazy and awesome, i agree they must have strapped a ton of roman candles on that thing to get all that footage

I shared this with all the local fishing groups on facebook, surely someone knows this moron

I'd fish it, the prize list is unreal....would be a cool experience.

I don't think that ruined luke schenn....his first year was probably his best after all.... I think the fact he is slow as s**t ruined him

What's the best way to get rid of dust on your centre pin?
Brettiop replied to davey buoy's topic in General Discussion
No like Chatham area lol... I agree not many steelie rivers are going to be in good shape come Saturday afternoon or so. No Steelhead rivers down this way so wasn't wondering because of that, just curious which forecast was showing that much rain, because it will effect both my goose hunting plans on sat, and musky fishing plans on sunday haha... -

I like the forecast I'm seeing a lot better then yours, Where are you seeing that forecast Bill? -
They sure are, we must have seen 200 break the surface that day I had a monster that had to be 40-45" following my figure 8 for about 30 seconds that day as well...he wouldn't commit though.
-
Well in that case, Islander all the way
-
Yea thanks Rich, it is quite possibly a 3 PB day, that Gar is likely one too.... Haven't caught many of them recently but i doubt i ever got one that big when i was younger and tried for them often...
-
Go with the Pink Imperial....you wont be disappointed, You wouldn't be disappointed with the Islander either, but one day a few weeks from now you may look at it and say, 'i wish it was pink'

Wow those are some monsters, way to go -
I was out with 3 buddies yesterday got out about noon, Was really busy out there everyone enjoying a beauty day on the lake. We were casting in a spot we had luck in a few weeks back, about 12 FOW, two of my buddies had a follow each but nothing committed, one may have been a pike. We moved a little ways and tried an area around 9-7 Fow, i got a nice hit on a Handlebarz Egg head white/green(Cisco), which turned out to be a nice pike. Probably my personal best at 33" With the same lure tied on about 10 minutes later i saw a flash when i did a turn at the side of the boat, thought it was just a small musky, but half way through my figure 8 my rod loaded up and it was on, this fish fought way better then any of my previous fish, and i thought for sure on a couple jumps it would come un-pinned, but we manage to slide it in the Net. A 44" fatty and my new PB! What a blast, was my first fish Ive ever got to bite on a Figure 8 Also got a decent sized gar that wanted a piece of my Tube. Trolled for 1 1/2 hours to end the day, didn't get a rip while trolling. Unfortunately none of my buddyes hooked up, but they sure want another invite out after seeing a few fish boated... I'm super pumped and just want to get back out there for a bigger one!

So you base your teams success rate on how they do against the leafs? Between that and how much time you spend talking about them on here, seems your pretty immersed in all things blue and white... Ive been a fan my whole life and you clearly care more about them then i do...
