  1. I feel compelled to try bells now....that commercial worked...
  2. Those are Dodo birds!!! Nah, i believe they are called Chukar, its a kind of partridge
  3. Lol, Exactly what i thought! What an at bat by EE on his Grand slam last night...loved how he didn't know where the ball was going when he hit it, looking around thinking he popped it up. then he started his home run trot!
  4. How about that for a ninth inning! What an awesome game...the jays just wont quit. Price going tomorrow to secure the series win...ill never get tired of saying that.
  5. Thanks guys! Jeez, that cottage, wouldn't that be nice lol... No that's not my cottage, we were at a rental....it was nice, but it wasn't anything like that lol
  6. ARKISONER, i just had to downloaded US&Canada Navionis app this weekend(because my Great lakes Navionics chip didn't include GBay, Bummer) I downloaded it, then had to download a map of the area, after the map was downloaded i could use the GPS without Data turned on. So yes, its worth it. Without it i wouldn't have caught those big smallies this weekend thats for sure... If i need it for another lake that isn't included on my Lowrance Navionics Chip, ill have to download that map before heading out.
  7. Well 6 of use headed up near Point Au Baril for the weekend, had awesome time Thanks to the people that offered advice, Rock shoals produced some nice bass for us. First morning just the guys went out, found a shoal just around the corner from the cottage, we were drop shottin. We managed to land 9 bass, mostly smaller ones under a pound but got one 3lber, and i lost a big 4+ near the boat. i thought that one would haunt me all weekend Matt with the first decent fish of the weekend Got a few of these tiny guys throughout the weekend as well We went out a bit later on in the day but never really got into them, just some smaller bass. The next morning was spent recovering from the night before, so we didn't get out until the afternoon. We spent an hour casting for pike with no luck...just couldn't find the weeds we needed. We were about to our original rock shoal that produced morning before, but i took a scan of the area on the Navionics and noticed a few really nice looking rock shoals just a few hundred yards away, so i said we'll hit this up before going back, glad we stopped there! We caught a few 2-3lbers and things were looking up, I switched to an anglers choice Misty craw tube, and within a few casts felt a thud on the line. A few botched net jobs and a dozen crazy runs later a nice black Georgian bay football was in the net! Made up for losing the tank i had on the day before. Right after that every one started using tubes, ken got a nice pike and others were catching some nice bass as well. I managed another nice bass on the tube, then a few minutes later i hooked into another giant. Another great fight and i got the second tank in the boat! Took some measurements and released them both to fight another day. I thought it would go 5lbs but it was a hair under, 19.5". That was the highlight of the trip for me, what a blast catching these were. We went out to a shallow bay and managed nearly a dozen hits on the topwater frogs but didnt keep any buttoned. Needed more time to hone in the top water hook set i guess! Thanks for reading people!
  8. Its a private Cottage rental. South of Pointe Au Baril
  9. Interesting Ironmaker, would be nice to get some walleye!
  10. Trip starts Thursday at noon! Thanks to those that offered some insight to the area, anyone else that can offer some last minute advice that's appreciated too. I told the girlfriend that we likely wont be fishing for musky, and she got mad and said we have to lol. I got no problem with that! Ill post some pics of the trip next week sometime! Arkisoner if your up in that area this weekend let me know!
  11. How about that for a series VS. the top team in the AL...wow And now we start a series VS, the Twins that could end up with us jumping them into the wildcard spot.....and were running out DAVID PRICE for game 1.....Awesome!
  12. Yupp, me too....Norris was a guy i figured was gone if we made any deals at all this season, getting arguably the best two players available and not giving up one of Osuna Stroman or sanchez is a great turn out for me.
  13. Mortgaged the future? You mean Norris? Cant find the strike zone and struggling all season in AAA? Boyd? that's found money he was a non prospect until this year... Or maybe jairo labourt, the guy you just heard of this afternoon when the trade broke?....I'm impressed we gave up so little to be honest... We still have Osuna Stroman and Sanchez as possible rotation PCs for next year, the budget looks good to sign a free agent pitcher in the winter as well.
  14. So how about that Tulo Trade! Iv'e always wanted to land him somehow but i just figured it was a pipe dream.... The GM AA sure likes to come outta nowhere and shock us with huge moves...See ya later Reyes and your sloppy Defense...I liked Reyes but i would hate to see him continue botching routine plays throughout the stretch that could easily turn W into L Gave up some great Prospects for sure but there is still a lot left over to potentially trade for some more pitching help.
  15. I get that, there are a lot more enjoyable ways to catch a walleye. But if you live in the area and enjoy eating fish, and the possibility of catching a true monster...big water trolling is well worth the time
  16. 1. You could have released them 2. You were smiling ear to ear the whole video...didn't look bored to me I agree trolling can be boring to a certain degree, especially if your on a charter and you have no responsibility but to reel in fish. But if you went out on your own and had to figure out where the fish are and what lure they wanted that day, what speed to go at, what depth etc...there is alot to think about and when you get it all to come together its anything but boring to start smashing fish that you worked hard to figure out.
  17. The reason being the leafs wanted to move on, their rebuilding and this was the first real step, needed to happen sooner then later in IMO...also Kessel had his list of 8 teams he would accept a trade to...MTL wasnt on that list. He was a lazy layer who didnt have what it took to lead the leafs to playoff contention, they didn't want the young guys coming up to be looking up to his work ethic. they needed to trade him. Saying all this, he is a good player who is among the elite in scoring goals over the last 5 years or so...anyone who cant see that is blind and in denial. He can score goals with the best of them. Also, the package the got was not "spare parts" kapanen and harrington both have good potential to be everyday NHL'ers in the next few years.
  18. That was a sweet game to watch, but man that bullpen sure has been shaky lately. Osuna just continues to go out there and kill it...2 inning save last night, he had some crazy swagger going on. Two more wins of the rays, combined with another yankee loss and were in a 3 way tie for first in the division.
  19. Nothing else you could have done, its a shame but it is what it is....
  20. Thanks Ohio! Ill definitely be getting a chart of the area before going, just got the boat back running don't wanna ruin it on a rock. Will be buying a electric trolling motor in the next week as well... And yes its a very big area, hopefully get comfortable with a specific area and stick with it. Anyone have any other help for me? maybe just about Georgian bay musky in general around that time? any depth or structure i should be looking for? or baits that work particularly well in the bay?
  21. Hey everybody! Rented a cottage on the Shawanaga inlet in mid august for a weekend. Will be my first time fishing that area. Going with my girlfriend and two other fishing buddies with there girlfriends as well. I'm thinking the Bulk of the time would be spent pike/bass/walleye/whatever bites fishing, but we'll definitely be trying for musky for awhile as well. Casting and trolling, whichever gives us the best shot i guess Anyone care to share some advice for this area? I know the rocks can be a real headache up there so ill definitely be taking my time getting around, any particular areas i need to just stay away from? I have been trying to read up on the area, not finding to much except a lot of advice that the musky fishing can be very tough. So i wont waste our time musky fishing all day if there is good fishing to be had with the other species in the area Feel free to PM me some info if your more comfortable with that I have a 19' Lund with a 115 and a kicker, i know Georgian bay can get rough real quick but hopefully the Inlet itself will be a bit more protected. Thanks!
  22. Yupp he pitched great last night
  23. Your not getting anything 'big time' for scott copeland, Sanchez has been sore since his last start....young pitchers can have a day off every now and then, i think it was a fine call.
  24. Ill probably start the morning throwing a few egg head spinner baits by handlebarz lures... After the first lure who knows what ill clip on though
