  1. Thanks, I've got a mini van without 4x4. I'll check with the lodge or you guys before I go up.
  2. Hey gang, looks like you had a great time up at Lakair. I'm thinking of a possible long weekend trip in August. Do they have a concrete boat launch on site, or nearby? Thanks in advance!
  3. The Wetskins from Cosco is pretty good for the price.
  4. Soldier's Bay went out of business earlier this year.
  5. Maybe you were Noah in a previous life. On deck, black bears.
  6. Cool. I thought the cat was going to get a shard kicking too!
  7. Got back from the annual fishing trip, and just like the name of the lake, we caught JACK!!! We marked a ton of fishies on the sonar, but couldn't find any hungry ones. Other than a few OOS smallies, not too much to report. The locals were saying that the water levels were down, and the water temps were high for that time of year (app. 25-26C). A few highlites: we did get a couple of rounds in at Marvel Rapids Golf Course. What a great little course. We hand fed some wild deer that were hanging around the cottage. Thanks again to everyone for the tips and info. Cheers!
  8. Nice ride...thanks for the boat porn.
  9. I miss him and his humor. When does he get out of the penalty box?
  10. What's the company name, web site, etc?
  11. The boat insurance kicks in tomorrow. I'll have the Alumacraft out on the water this week. I've quickly realized that BOAT is an acronym for Bring Out Another Thousand. Enjoy the new ride.
  12. Nice ride. That's a weird looking tiller
  13. CTC has a deal on a Fenwick & Abu combo $39.99.
  14. Thanks for all of the tips. Are there any half decent boat launches on the north end of the lake?
  15. Thanks for the help all. We're renting a cottage on the south end of Sheep Bay.
  16. Hey gang, I'm heading up to Jack Lake in Apsley for the boys annual fishing trip at the end of May. Ive heard great things about Jack Lake from some friends, however, there is very little info on the internet. I was hoping that you guys could assist with a couple of things: - We're staying on the NW part of the lake. Are there any good boat launches in the area? - Does anyone have a map of the lake that they can share? I haven't found anything free online. - Any tips on walleye fishing on Jack Lake? I'm not looking for any honey holes just some pointers, or types of structure to look for. Any info would be appreciated, and if you happen to be on Jack Lake the last weekend of May, feel free to drop by for a pint. Cheers!
  17. Thanks for the feedback fellas, I'll just use them for cutting the heads off of my fin-s minnows.
  18. I picked up the 8" mini cutter today for $5.99 at CTC(60% off). Nice little tool for cutting trebles. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6/Tools/PliersSnips/Snips/PRD~0582001P/Mastercraft%252B8-in.%252BMini%252BBolt%252BCutter.jsp?locale=en
  19. What ever happened to our hillbilly friend from the south? Anyone hear from him?
  20. It was a pleasure doing business with you buddy! I'll probably be sleeping in the boat tonight. Cheers!!!
  21. Welcome aboard. I think I got this recipe from a previous beef jerky thread about a year ago. http://microwebtech.com/
  22. Looks good. Thanks for the hard work fellas.
  23. I didn't realize there were pike in Scugog. Can you confirm? Any photos?
  24. I'm in Richmond Hill. I appreciate the offer guys, but I think I just want to fish for fun. I was offered a spot last year by Charles Nahm for the Miss chapter, but it was a little bit out of the way. I give him props (no pun intended), for being very outgoing and extending an invite to me.
