  1. Ask your wife. If she says yes, it's too good to be true. If your single, ask yourself.
  2. I've always thought that this would happen to Ron James from FISH TV. His pike handling skills are atrocious. I'm not a big fan of grabbing a pike from the gills with three trebles dangling from a fish's mouth. Get well soon big fella, and please make sure you clean the blood stains on my future Skeeter Cheers!
  3. After a great day of smallie action on Simcoe last weekend, I decided to hit the same spot today. Turned out to be another great day of action with 10 quality SMB's being landed. I set a personal best early in the day with a 5 lb 8 oz SMB, and within the hour had another PB at 6 lb 4 oz. (Photo attached). The lures of choice today we're live and gulp leeches, wacky worms, and cranks. Cheers!
  4. What a pig, nice catch!!!
  5. Great report. Love the colour on those smallies.
  6. Looking forward to it Marv. Enjoy your vacation!
  7. I'm sure cheating happens more than we think. I bet the rule below gets broken regularly: HORSEPOWER: Maximum horsepower for all outboards and inboards must not exceed the limitations that are set by the manufacturers rating plate. Changing or altering standard factory parts of your motor to increase the horsepower over the factory horsepower rating is forbidden. I'm glad he got caught, and I'm sure he'll regret this for the rest of his fishing days. Cheers!
  8. Headed out with my father in law to Lady Simcoe on the weekend thinking it would be a typical mid summer slow day of fishing. We headed to a spot that had produced some nice smallies in previous bass openers, and once again, I didn't expect much summer action. With his first cast my father in law nailed a 3.5lb SMB, WOW....nice start to the day. With my first cast....BAM....4.2lb SMB. These turned out to be the smallest SMB's of the day. We nailed approximately 10 SMB's that morning, with the biggest being a 5.5lber (see pic), and a couple of break offs from some pigs that looked to be close to the 6lb+ mark. The bait of the day was live leeches. I typically fish with artificials, but I'm glad I went old school...nothing beats live bait!!! I was using a 7' spinning rod spooled with 20lb braid, a swivel, and a 3-4' 12lb fluoro leader for the dropshot rig. Cheers!
  9. Hey gang, I'm looking to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom cottage for a few days this month. I've already got an email out to the folks at Lakair, but just in case they are booked, has anyone rented at any of the other camps/resorts in the area? If so, any recommendations? Has anyone been to Lucky Strike? Thanks
  10. I wish they would put the original hillbilly (GCD) back on the approved list.
  11. I thought it was funny.
  12. I don't know what to say.
  13. Congrats on the boat, I bought an 05 Navigator 165 Sport earlier this year, you're gonna love it. Insurance cost me app. $300/year.
  14. It's a suiting and humorous title, and nobody got hurt. Tightline, thanks for reminding us about being safe and smart out on the water.
  15. Here's a pic from the incident. It appears JP and his partner are doing fine.
  16. Looks like it knocked him out of the tourney as well (results below). I don't recall JP ever finishing last. At least the boat didn't hurt anyone. 17. I hope Lebron, Bosh, and Wade get hit by the proverbial bus.
  18. GBW, what are your thoughts on the article?
  19. I've been twice and rented the Chalet both times. The owners are great and were very hospitable. There's a ton of pike in the small bay just east of the resort. I hope this helps.
