Gord, yes we did. We tried three areas that have produced for us many times, but the musky had lockjaw. The only highlight was pulling into the marina and seeing a young lad with a walleye. The smile on his face was priceless. Oh well, sometimes the fish have to win too. Cheers!

I've got the CTC bolt cutters, but I'll be upgrading to the Knipex soon, based on what everyone is suggesting. I've never had to use the bolt cutters yet, as I pinch down the barbs to make the release as quick as possible. I know that I may lose the odd fish because of it, but I'm not a guide and I'm not going to fret over it.......until I lose a 50+ fish. Cheers!

Hey gang, I'm hooking up with a buddy that has a cottage right on the Lake Erie in Port Dover. I'm familiar with the SMB fishing in the Port Colborne area, and I was wondering if I can expect the same type of action or structure in the Port Dover/Turkey Point/Long Point area. I'm not looking for GPS coordinates, just some general tips or areas to start. I'm thinking of dropshotting for SMB's, but I'm open to suggestions. Cheers!
