Need some ideas quick!! So Jaden is presenting a thing on invasive species tomorrow and shes got the content all written up. She has to give some sort of a demonstration along with it.. but of course I cant get my hands on an invasive species this time of year.. It has to be something she can pass around the room to demonstrate what an invasive species does.. ie a girl thats doing one on asthma is passing a straw around so people can feel like what it feels like to breath with difficulty... i need something similar that gets some sort of point accross... any one got any ideas.. im stumped....

So.. after digesting a bit more on the lake and talking to alot of people here. I've had some interesting points brought to my attention, that I thought would make an interesting conversation. I may be off base here, so please set me straight if I'm missing something. ( Please no native bashing here.. not what this thread is about - ill just delete your comments ) #1 From everyone I talk to the halving of the limit was on the very bottom of the list of MNR options. The MNR themselves have told stakeholders that it would not have much if ANY effect on the fishery. So why would they do that?? #2 Alot of the tourists that come up, especially out of province ones, buy a week long conservation license and stay at a lodge or cottage resort. So they would get to keep 2 pickeral for shore lunch, as believe it or not, most tourists are not interested in dragging much fish home. #3 So now that the Conservation License will be 1, most people will be forced to buy a regular license if they want to have a shorelunch (2 under the slot fish each) raising the license fee from. 29.40 to 51.28. Basically raising the $ value of licenses sold on Lake Nipissing by 40%, which goes into the general fund and will not be spent on Lake Nipissing cause the MNR is vehemently against stocking. They assure me it doesn't work. Personally I don't know that it does or doesn't, what I do know is that it cannot hurt. And it sure as hell can't hurt tourism, which for our area is one of the biggest sources of jobs, property taxes and general taxes up here. #4 Historically regulations that have been pushed on Nipissing first have managed to make there way across the province. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be.. once again set me straight) we were the first to have a limit of 4, and the first to have slot sizes. So is a walleye limit of two only a matter of time for the rest of the province?? Even if you don't fish Nipissing that alone ought to give you something to think about. Just my thoughts...please keep the comments civil... please.

Last year (or so) when Google came out with Google+ it was a direct hit at Facebook. Facebook didn't have a search engine that went much outside of Facebook, and now Google was aiming directly at them with all of Googles muscle (Google + which is for most a failure.) Ya see I've been saying for years that all FB had to do to take on Google is enable a search... or even partner with Bing... Now we see FB on our users list spidering us when we've never seen it index our site before... If you want to do an internet search .. you have to leave Facebook to do it. If they can come up with a good search engine, (and now that Google has really pissed off a bunch of webmasters just like me) I wont hesitate to use it instead. Cause then they can.. #1 highlight Facebook pages like mine in their results (keeping people on Facebook, generating more $$) then serve their own results, #2 as well as selling ads on the side which is the MAIN source of Googles revenue. Ive been saying for a couple of years now that gGoogle has to be careful.. and I think FB is about to take a shot back... Also.. you make a tablet or a phone... you "build" a search engine. This is my prediction!! Glad I've been putting lots of effort into FB. I know its not fishing, but this stuff is unfortunately important to me and should be to anyone whose in business.. It will be interesting to see if I'm right.

Ya. well to be honest.. I just need pictures and videos of normal guys (not too many around here..lol) using the stuff i sell and getting me pictures/videos of catches, so i can show them with the products im gonna sell.. so yes promotional staff.. maybe more like product boosters... The majority is gonna be the mainstays of fishing so no new fancy shmancy 10 dollar lures.. not what Im or my store is gonna be about.

UPDATE!!! Thanks guys... were working on new skins and perhaps were gonna add another mobile version as well, so lots to choose from EVENTUALLY. The person we have hired to do the skins for us .. has just come off a bout with the flu, a bad one I may ad, and they are behind in work, so things will get done, just not as fast as I would like them to. but rest assured we are doing everything we can to get things back to whatever we consider "normal" around here. We're getting stuff done by professionals, I would do the skin install, but I'd rather have someone do it that does this type of thing every day rather than me or Roy would could easily make a mistake. So everyone is just gonna have to be patient. Weve got a skin coming thats not identical to the old club skin, but as close as we could fine thats compatible with this new version of software. So far I like some of the upgrades!

I did read somewhere once that letting them gasp for air, didnt help the taste of the fish. I generally dont bleed the fish out, but i do make sure its dead, usually with a knife.

Wow... lure whures everywhere!!! LOL.. My stuff will be mainly jigs, spoons, spinnerbaits. with some topwaters, the jumla will return, and some spinners. Im about a week away from opening, so for the ice fishing season its really just jigs... My store is about getting the "standard" old school tackle at decebnt prices. As sales increase Ill be adding more and more inventory. Ill be replying to the whures by pm.. lol.. and Dave.. ya had me at loores

LOL.. not really.... but i do need a few! Ok, so my online fishing tackle store is coming along fine.. just about ready to open... But I need pro staff. Upon some investigation I found out that pro staff doesn't really stand for "professional staff" like I thought, but actually "promotional staff"... like what it should be cause most of the "Pro Staff" out there really are not actually "professional" as they get paid in product for the most part. So I want to get some people to use my lures, and "promote" them i.e. take some pictures and tell me what works for them and what doesn't. I really don't want to use the term "pro staff".. cause.... well... I'm me.. So I was thinking I could call my "promotional staff" - wait for it.... "Lure Whures". Any one got anything better????
