  3. Headed to Scugog today with cpguy29 for my first time. Great guy with a lot of great info. He said the numbers weren't there but I was happy as heck. Caught a whole bunch of rock bass, caught my first largemouth and my first perch. We landed a ton of jumbos. Only got one pic tho of my bass on cpguy29's camera. Will post it later. Thanks cpguy29 for a great day out. Look forward to it again.

  9. Seriously tho, I agree with mukluk, union is the way to go. Been working since i was 14. Fishing Cod in Newfoundland. Then logging. Then in a auto shop. Finished high school (with honours) and went to college. Got a diploma in millwright and moved to Ontario to work in a factory. After a year and a half I had enough of working inside (after fishing and logging) and my wife's uncle helped me get into Peel Region water and sewer dept. Started as a labourer in 2003, moved up to tri-axle truck driver, and now I run a Vactor 2011 Series hydra-vac truck and make good money doing it. I have total control of overtime. My advice is get into a trade with a good union. Great job security, good pension, guaranteed raise every year, and most important, weither now or later...BENEFITS!!! Good luck with your search. Curt

  11. I grew up fishing to eat. Don't have a lot of time in fishing in Ontario but I know as I learn more places and species to fish I will not be keeping nearly as much.
  12. Don't Forget Bait Caster v Spinner ...and the ever so popular legal or illegal MARSHMALLOWS!!!
  13. Saw a guy using one on a fishing show few days ago. It looked like he had total control and very easy to manuvre.
  14. There is a limit of 2 per paying customer. You have to show your fishing reciept to the park guys if they ask. I saw a few people who only kept one and kept releasing the others till they were ready to go and they would keep the last one. If you have 2 keepers in your posession you have to stop fishing.

  18. Took the wife and son to Glen Haffy Conservation for some fishing at the stocked ponds. After paying 18 dollars for 2 adult day pass and fishing passes we had to almost fight our way to the water at the lower pond. But after about 45 min. there were only about a dozen of us left. Used spinners with no luck. Then worm and bobber with no luck. But then we went to little wite and green powerbaits with bobber and the tiny sinkers and they just kept hitting like crazy. Cought about 12 - 15 in 2 hours between me and the wife. Nothing real big but we kept three for dinner tonight. Saw a lot being caught on flyrod too. And a few nice ones.
  19. I just got a photobucket account and uploaded pics on there. How do I get them here? Thanks, Curt.
