I don't know if there is already a thread for this. If so remove it. Just a place to share a little fishing humor. I got a new fly rod and reel for my wife...best trade I ever made.

I saw these floating lures on a tv ad the other day and can't remember the maker. They were a floating snake lures they were using for bass fishing. They had three colors, black, brown, and white ones. I believe they were 11" long. The guys would cast them to shore then reel back while tugging a little and it looked just like a snake swimming across the lake. Please respond if you know what I am talking about. Thanks, Curt

As for beer I like my won home brew best. When I buy beer it's usually Canadian. For you dark beer drinkers, I stumbled upon a 24 of Wee Willy Scottish Style beer at the Erin Beer Store. It's made by Lakeport and suprisingly good when drank form a glass.

Ginger is good for a hangover. Anything hard and water for mix for me.

My wife is Dutch and she trys to make me eat those damned things whenever I have a sore throat. But for me it's a couple sammages, jerky, and a 24 Canadian.

Actually i busted the reel holder on my rod and didn't realize. So I kept my old reel on it with a couple zip ties. Went and bought a new Shimano 7' Medium Action for the new reel.

That's ok man. She'll be great company tho.

Just got WFN 2 weeks ago. Haven't had enough time to decide yet.

Went to put it on my rod yesterday and it won't fit. base too wide. I guess I need a bigger rod.

I can't wait to try it. I'm going to use Trilene XL Smooth Casting 8lb. I just moved up here from Newfoundland last year so my little trout rod was insufficient but it did bring in my first pike at 28 inches then the reel took a dump. I'm hoping for 20 degrees all week.

Hey guys. I just bought a new spinning reel at Canadian Tire. It's a Matzuo America MT2840. I never used one of these before but it was on sale for 29.99. Reg. price 59.99. It has 8 ball bearings and a drilled aluminum spool. Anyone have any experience with these. I'm just a once a month fisherman for pike and pickeral and the odd bass and wondewring if this will last me a while. Thanks guys.
