Hey everyone, I want to buy a kayak this year for fishing and im not sure what kind i should get. I have used a canadian tire sit in model when on sale only costs 299. It worked fine for the times i used it but am unsure if i should spend a bit more money and get something more comfortable and suited for fishing. I could really use the advice from you guys who fish regularily out of a kayak to help me make a decision. Thanks Jason

checked last night this time saw foot prints going out from the boat launch 150feet or more, a friend and i drilled about four holes 5 feet apart, too dark to take a measurement so i used my middle finger and thumb to try and get an idea and it felt pretty thick , hopefully its black ice it was definately more then 4 inches in the holes..i definatley wont be going out til it freezes longer especially with the weather being so mild.

I have one that i have gotten for christmas, usually you get what you pay for but im hoping that it holds up a lot better then what you guys are saying. I figure that it will definately be nice to have something to go into to get out of the wind and the cold. Sure beats having nothing. Aswell it is an alternative to the much more expensive units. For that price aswell if it doesnt work out then you arent that much in the hole.

Hey Everyone , I decided to venture out tonight at about 8 oclock down to "the spot" lol and finally at 8:20 i had a big hit something real feisty was pulling the drag was making that sweet sound when you have something decent on but alas 10 feet away from me the bugger got off! I though dang that was sweet since i wasnt expecting anything and i nearly made the decision to go home and call it a night! Good thing i didnt because just as the sun was setting i put a on a different lure and sure enough wham! The third pickeral ive ever caught and it was visually a new pb! Well looking at the pics now i realize the fish looks a lot happier then me .....! Anyways thought id share the pics, enjoy!! Jason

ok i got a pic off the net and drew in some oval shapes that represent the size and the location of the "tumors" on the perch the ovals actually should have been more forward underneath the gills

Hey Has anybody ever caught a perch with 4 or 5 wierd tumor like bulges on the underside of the mouth? Didnt have a camera so i couldnt get a picture. I tried figuring out the best way to describe what it looked like and tumors kinda fit the description better then anything else.

Where in midland were the kids fishing for the day?

I was there on the long weekend and i only seemed to fish at night time because of the crappy weather we had during the days on saturday and sunday. We were at site number 30 right on the water and had no luck the first night. The second night we had loads of brown bull heads. Last year during bass season i caught a 3lb smallmouth right off of the boat launch. Lots of sun fish during day light hours to when it wasnt raining lol

Hey i was fishing in orillia yesterday with my friend and we caught a bunch of perch that we brought home to cook up, when we filleted them we found that some of the fish had little tiny white round things tucked into the meat. It wasnt all of the fish that had it . So are those white round things worms ? If so are they still ok to eat if you pull them out? Thanks Jason

where do you go?

I know gas is quite expensive but what are the reasons behind europe being double then most places? Are they making more money then us , or are other things cheaper there that we pay more for here?Does it just cost more to get the gas there? Or do they use more gas then us here in canada?
