  1. Hey ive tried looking at the parks canada website and i cant make heads or tails of whether or not the parks are open, im looking at going camping thursday to saturday. Thanks guys.
  2. A guy at my work would leave some tools outside 24/7 in an area where he would cut trails in the bush for biking so it would just be easier for him to leave them there rather then lug them in and out all the timel. We got talking one day about this degreaser spray they use as mould cleaner on the injection moulds. We were talking about all of its extra uses, and he told me it takes the rust right off of the tools he would leave out there. Not to sure how effective it is but he swore by it. Same company that makes this stuff but its a blue can that we have at the plant.
  3. Hey Guys, Im looking at buying an Ultra light rod, and im not sure what brand to get and how much i should spend on one. I wouldnt be using it 24/7 and i wouldnt mind putting 50-70 dollars on one. Crappie, rockbass, perch, sunfish are the species i would be going after with this rod. If you need to know anything else in order to help me choose one ask and ill try and give you an answer. Thanks Jason
  4. Hey Just curious, was in Barrie tonight and checked out the waterfront by the marina. Seems pretty solid at most of the areas around the docks, for myself i think it would be alright for the area im planning to fish , but at the same time would like some guidance from anybody whos been around there. I do not think anybody fishes the area..atleast not right now. Im only looking at trying to catch some perch or crappie just for some fun. Please give your feed back as to whether or not i should even bother due to the way the weather has been for the last couple days. Thanks Guys Jason
  5. That is a real nice clean looking largemouth man am i jealous!
  6. Excuse me while i get technical yes this is a website. I think you get what i was trying to get across.
  7. Well i left it in my g.f's fridge and the second day she threw it in the freezer because she thought it was turning. I remember when i worked at food basics in the meat deptartment we would get fresh fish in , and it would be on the shelves until the day after the expiry date at a reduced price so the shelf life there could easily be a week or a bit more maybe By the way what would anybody recomend for a seasoning for crappie, i would like to pan fry it rather then deep fry...even though i know deep fried is delicious.
  8. hey guys, pretty simple question probably, i could look it up on google, but i really prefer your answers over a website anyday! Thanks for your help! Jason
  9. What are those things called? Yeah the threads are fine, got new bearings and lock nuts!! Going out skateboarding in 10 minutes lol thanks again for all your help
  10. Sorry to hear that ohiofisherman! Luckily i spend most of my time fishing over skateboarding! Well guys i got that nut off!! I used a flat head scredriver behind the wheel(because i had a little bit of play there) so i propped it up and with the pressure of that while i turned i was albe to force it up and off! Thanks to you guys i can now skateboard! One more problem, the skateshop was closed so i cant get four new nuts for the wheels because i dont want to have that problem again, i went up to home depot to buy a few, size i got was one to small and the next size up the nuts are way to thick to even throw on so guess i dont get to go out today after all and tomorrow im in the shop at school all day! Anyways thanks again ! This site really is unbelievable. Jason
  11. lol i think you guys are right, new truck. I had no choice but to try and loosen it off of there because i needed to change the wheel to a smaller one.Anyways thanks for your help guys, i have a bunch of suggestions to try now lol Ttyl Jason
  12. Yeah its all one piece, called a truck. The threaded rod you see is molded right into the main piece. I pretty much am going to have to drill into it, or weaken it somehow. It really probably is simple, its just im limited to tools at the moment, socet set and wrenches. Im at the girlfriends house and i havent brought my stuff here.
  13. what do you mean by take it off the other side? i can only access the the nut or that little edge of bolt from the angle you are seeing in the picture.
  14. Thanks for the support, this is what im working with. The nut is stuck right there. It will turn but it will not move up or down the axle.
  15. Its a nut the holds my wheel on my skateboard, hopefully that helps.
  16. Hey Guys The weather is so nice out and i want to go skateboarding...i go to change my wheels on my board and the last wheel will not come off. I was able to loosen the nut to a certain point, and all i can get it to do is turn right and left, but it will not tighten or loosen, it is stuck on the bolt. I really need to get this wheel off, can anybody give me some ideas on how to loosen that nut? Thanks Jason
  17. Well went fishing on little lake in midland with my friend. I caught one perch of a decent size and had a few bites, then the action stopped. Did not take long for my friend and i to pack up and head to the bait store just on the other side of the 400 entrance ramp going towards orrillia, chatted with the ncie lady there for a while and headed out to our spot up by six mile . It took a while of moving around and about five holes later finally got a couple perch and two crappie. Kept the two crappie for a snack lol. My friend caught a baby pike had to be about 10 inches lol. It was nice to get out for a day of fishing. Plus it beat yesterday when we headed to a different spot and caught nothing. I would have a pic of the two crappie but its on my friends disposable. Going out tomorrow to catch more.(maybe)
  18. hey fyrguyry, This winter was my first time ever catching a crappie. My buddy took me to a sweet and i mean sweet spot! We used crappie minnows, on a little crappie hook and a little splitshot. I would let the bait go to the bottom, reel it up a couple cranks, center your line in the hole and once you see it start to leave that center spot set your hook and its fish on! Make sure you have either another rod ready to go or take your fish off real fast so you can keep the school of fish close to your hole. I fished Little abuot a month ago with my buddy, i caught a little pike and he pulled out a couple of good sized crappie. We fished the same holes there the hole time. Some guys came down looking for crappie, drilling holes all over the place, which i admit is probably the best way to find them unless you just get lucky like we did. I wouldnt mind giong to little again to try and catch them lots of fun hooking in to them to!
  19. i was just going to post that very rule. Key words " very specific " so asking what kind of fish species are in a river is not that specific?? Also on one of my first posts abuot spots to fish from shore, I had to make it clear that i was not asking for specific locations i was asking about whta kind of land marks or spots to look out for say while driving around...that cuold be anywhere in the world i was looking to fish. I can get very specific but i also respect my own spots enough to respect everyone elses. I would not purposely give out information on somebody elses spots because i know i would not want mine to be overrun with people. I am not trying to offend people here by any means.
  20. Hey Guys Since i have been on here (a whole month and a half) I have asked quite a few questions and got quite a few great responses! Over this time through posts and pm's i have been told that i shouldnt ask certain questions. Well now is the time where i want to know what is acceptable and what is not. My last topic was about the coldwater river and i was sent a pm saying i should watch what i ask because then fishing spots i ask about have the potential to be overrun by people who have otherwise never thought of going to a spot like that until they read about it. The pm was just a word of advice it was not a threat to me or anything like that ( i just want to clarify this). I wuold now like to hear where people stand on topics such as this and others on this forum. Thanks Again.
  21. Sounds pretty cool, except i dont have a boat, ive fished from the main peir in coldwater but that was for salmon when everyone was there. im just gonna have to find a spot away from the town that is accessible by foot. Thanks for the reply
  22. Hey i know people fish for salmon in there, is that the only fish in there, or can you catch cats and others?
  23. Ive never ate rainbow before, is it really as bad as crappieperchhunter is saying?
  24. Hmm ive been there once, but never got into the fishing. Big ass thunderstorm that day lol had to leave early and drive to the bridge overpass in waubashene and fish under it for the rest of the night. I think the sturgeon is a hatchery in certain monthes, i ll have to read the regs.
