  1. Nice job guys! Cornwall eh? I need to start packing a rod or two when I go through there everyday!! lol
  2. Cal Anderson's Pro Bait and Tackle in Port Huron. 2 minutes from the bridge.
  3. Nice job Emil; I'm glad the mast and boards worked out well for you.
  4. I ALMOST lost a 48" and DID lose my sunglasses manning the cradle. I wouldn't say it's an optimal means of landing a big fish but if you're not ready to fork out the coin for a proper net, it's better than having a net too small.
  5. Yeah. Check the bolt pattern, rim width and back spacing and visit the wrecker for some car rims. They'll probably run you $15 ea. + some paint and effort to make 'em look spiffy.
  6. Maybe we should go get them wet at Fanshaw and see if that makes a difference.
  7. Yep, right here in London. I forget the name of the place but its on Firestone Blvd. at Clark and Gore. I'm not sure if they sell to the public though. Those rims are wayyy out; I think you'd blow a tire from flexing/heat in the sidewalls before they wear out prematurely. That would get you to Fanshaw and back without much trouble but I'd get it cured before heading out to the Kawartha's.
  8. Well said. Sometimes I wonder if it's the turbulance created by dipsy's, torpedo's and cannon balls that attracts fish. It may not always be the lure, flasher, dodger etc. Lure location and proximity to the boat aren't always a factor, moreso is, the fish's line of site. A fish will see a silhouette of a lure and come up 40' to hit it but if your lure's silhouette is overshadowed by your boat's hull, it may never be seen. Long leads off a rigger can move the lure away from the shadow of the hull but how do we explain when short leads can sometimes be so hot? That takes us back to the action/turbulance therory. The simple answer to the Jet/Dipsy question is; Have both.
  9. Nicely done Rich, well earned! Now they'll come easy for you after getting that gorilla off your back!
  10. Mike, don't look any further than Dell... http://www.dell.com/ca/p/inspiron-15r-combo-mod/pd?oc=ni15r_ft_2e&model_id=inspiron-15r-combo-mod#TechSpec Same specs, $499 and a free case. We have 3 Dell laptops in the house now; we just bought the 15R for my daughter. Excellent support and service. My wife's laptop didn't seem to be holding a charge as long as it did when we first got a few months prior. There was a new battery sent by courier the next day and they took back the old one... no shipping, no downtime, no questions asked. It's the only issue we've had.
  11. Wow Pete, you're the man! The Parker kids are gonna have a great Christmas this year thanks to YOU and ONLY YOU! This will mean soooo much to the KIDS. There might even be a little cash left over to buy the Parker PUPPY some new dog treats. You have just made a couple of KIDS and a PUPPY soooo happy!
  12. Usually not a problem Roy; if you're getting at snow not being melted off the lens. Where you run into some difficulty is if there is a ledge below the light and it collects snow. With that said, the LED intensity tends to glow right through the snow. I wonder sometimes how anybody could see my lights at the end of a long run with the truck but when I stand back, you can see 'em glowing right through the snow. I know on my boat trailer, they is no place for snow to sit and obscure the light but it might be a consideration for some.
  13. That's where I got mine. $120 4x8x3/4 if I recall correctly.
  14. Send him a pie, everyone likes pies. Maybe you could look up his neighbour's phone number and get a feel for what they know or see in his behaviour. If they're kind enough, perhaps they could keep an eye out for him and keep you posted. http://www.canada411.ca/search/address.html
  15. Yeah... work work work. As far as I know, I won't be heading to Moncton until tomorrow night but I have a lot of homework to do on the computer. I might have to go the long legal road to get paid up from the last employer. My wife picked up 4 more cheques for me on Thursday and they still owe me a bundle. If I have to do all this homework, I'm going to nail 'em for every penny. I can't wait to try them Egg Heads.... and all my other muskie gear LOL
  16. Oh for pete's sake, now I have to fill out a new order form.
  17. Well done Mike!
  18. You know I am very busy these days but I can pencil you in say tomorrow between 6am and Noon for a thorough inspection.
  19. I'm betting the problem is solved but maybe I should double check it for you...
  20. I bet the last time he ran wide open was the last time he forgot his boat keys at home! Great advice as always, Dan.
  21. LOL!!! That'll be gone by tomorrow. I'm surprised those kids don't have fins and scales with all the fish they eat! Well done again Emil. Sorry I couldn't be there today; too much on the go today and off to Moncton again tonight.
  22. Ron, if you have issues with a tournament entry fish; take it up privately the poster, team captain or tournament organizer. Please don't hijack someones report. Randy, nice fish! Thanks for sharing.
  23. Well done Emil, I wish I could have been there! Sitting Quebec City, tomorrow Moncton.
  24. I appreciate the offer Chris. I can think of worse things than being stuck in a boat with ChrisK; (A)it's not enclosed and (B)at least we'll find fish! Cool Mo, might just take you up on it but don't wait to make plans; I may not make it there at all.
  25. WHAT?!?!?!? Nobody will recognize ya's! LOL I had really hoped to make the trip this year but may not be able to. If I do, I'll boatless and homeless while I'm up there! My boat is still in storage and I haven't made any reservations because this past month has been crazy to say the least! It may not stop me from shooting up there for the weekend but I won't know until last minute.
