  1. Every year at this time many of us make new years resolutions. Every year I vow to do 1-9 but this year I have added #10 after seeing GCD's new shade of white.
  2. Holy crap, I hope that rod is still under warranty! Nice fish. -Brian
  3. My wife and I have been doing that for a couple of years now... we buy a couple things for ourselves and put eacothers name on the gifts. It works great! We also get eachother some surprises. This year I'm getting a Garmin GPSMap 76 that I purchased a few months ago on sale 50% off. My wife purchased some clothes and a purse for herself from me and her surprise gift will be a large LCD or small Plasma (32-42") for the bedroom. That reminds me, I have some TV shopping to do... later folks! -Brian
  4. I wouldn't go any less than a 9.9 if you have your heart set on a kicker. If I were rigging a new outfit like that I think I would try trolling the 115(4) and put the kicker money towards about nice bow mount. It certainly depends on your style of fishing as well. Planer boards and dipsy's would certainly put a 5hp to the test even in calm water. -Brian
  5. If you're really, really stuck I can help you... PM me if you want a clue OR the answer. -Brian
  6. Here is something that will occupy your friend for a while but it's a little hard to wrap. http://weffriddles.com/ **Hint** he'll need to be a little 'puter savvy -Brian
  7. Walmart has them in London... probably 100+ in stock, 7 or 8 patterns for $8.56 I believe. -Brian
  8. Nothing is worth the drive to Buffalo. -Brian
  9. For me the reward is in the fight, not the species. Having said that, I can get skunked and still have a good time on the water! -Brian
  10. I don't know about the Toronto area but they're opening one in Montreal http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?...&highlight=
  11. I can't complain! I wouldn't have had a muskie season if it wasn't for you and Steve. Thanks again! -Brian
  12. Thanks for dropping in Rob. I wish I had something profound and insightful to say but I'm at a loss. I'll be thinking of you and Chris when I give my kids an extra hug and kiss before I go to work tonight. -Brian
  13. I didn't want to slam these people publicly and would rather have waited to see if/how they respond but since you posted a link I thought I'd chime in with a warning.
  14. My first boat was a Tempest Tri-Hull... big mistake. It needed a lot of work and I spent a lot of money on it including a rebuilt 85 Merc. The end result was satisfying but it wasn't the right boat for me. I eventually moved to London and the boat sat in the driveway for 2 years except for a couple of excursions. I decided to trade the boat for this Goldwing + cash I got board with the bike and sold it to my neighbour when my fathar called me and asked if I wanted to buy his Cherokee. I hadn't seen it for a while and we made a deal over the phone. Hmmm, maybe I should have had a look at it first... After doing the body, brakes, engine, floors, suspension, rims and tires and ended up with this... And now that I am bored with the Jeep, I am in negotiations to purchase this 18' Starcraft CC... The moral of the story: I should have bought a brand new Lund 10 years ago... I would have saved a bundle!!
  15. Not much left in London. I have some snow on my lawn leftover from the 5 foot snowbanks from my wife shovelling the driveway but in the backyard I have several patches of grass. Would it be wrong to ask her to cut the grass sometime this weekend? -Brian
  16. Mikes Reel Repair was happy to take my order and money online on October 19. I haven't seen anything in the mail, he hasn't replied to emails nor has he returned my calls. The account status online still says processing. If you're going to place an order, CYA. -Brian

  23. I know how to swim but I don't like not being able to see bottom... pools are okay. It never used to bother me as I spent my misspent youth swinging from ropes into Bronte Creek. -Brian
