  8. Wow its hard to Believe that its been 5 years since we went public with our baits. I just want to thank all the OFC family for the support over the years. For the people who don't know who we are please let me give a little run down. I'm Mike Parker was and am still just a member of the OFC family I was a walleye Pike and Bass fisherman until one day in June of 2005 when I hooked into a musky with my father since then I am a musky nut. I started building my own lures in 2005 (I have always built my own stuff no matter what I have fished for) this time it was different I had such passion for doing this little did I know that in the fall of 2010 things would change I started to sell in a store. Since then things have been amazing my wife helps me build the lures and our kids do as well at times. We all have gone to many shows together and have a blast. We make inline flashabou lures, Closed loop spinner baits, Still working on our topwater bait, and have Bump boards. In 2015 we introduced our Blingers to the musky world they are our large curly tail trailer they are made to my specs that I had custom done for our molds to make our baits they come with a coil system that I have designed to fit our 5/0 hooks. please check out our faccebook page for all the details on them. Be sure to mention that your a OFC member when placing a order with us you can do this by: email to: [email protected] Check out our web site: www.handlebarzmuskylures.com our facebook page is always updated: www.facebook.com/Handlebarzmusky Thank you all Mike Parker and family
  9. Talk to Speil on the board here if you want a pink Rod he is second to none he just made a great one for the Fish A Thon using pink I know he will build a amazing Rod for her.
  10. I wonder how the other show will do when it moves back to the international centre. We want to hit some smaller shows also it's nice to get out and meet people face to face.
  11. When this happens to me I just keep casting towards them or use big rubber it makes a huge splash at their boat side. It drives me nuts on a huge lake no one around but now you want me to shorten my cast not going to happen
  12. Thank you to everyone who has helped out with the donations. We are looking forward to seeing all the OFC members out next week.

  14. I know most here know about this event and know my wife and I usually do a aunction to help raise money for this great event. This year our life has been so busy we did not have a chance to get donations so we have come up with the following. I have also donated a guided trip musky fishing on LSC this year the trip is at $150 Our Facebook group is Auction to help fight Cancer. So we are very passionate about fish-a-thon for a cure (cancer) and every year we try and hold an auction to raise money to help fight this crappy disease! Well this year the auction didn't happen BUT we have something just as cool!! We are going to have a banner (donated by RPM designs) and on that banner we are selling spots for you to share in memory if a loved one who passed from cancer or a cancer survivor for $5! Maybe you are a business and don't have an in memory of or a survivor but want to donate....well we've got spots for you as well! For $20 we will place your logo on our banner to show your support! This event will take place at Deer Creek Conservation area and there are usually upwards of 200 or more people that attend! The fish-a-thon is coming fast in Saturday the 22nd so we will need all donations in by Wednesday August 19th so that we can get the banner printed! Please private message me if you would like a name or business spot asap! Thanks for helping us kick cancers ass!
  15. Good call on the net I would never ask anyone to land a fish for me for fear of the hooks coming out and them getting hooks in the face. I do use my cradle to release tired fish if it's to rough to hold in the water by hand.
  16. We would go up yearly to golden eagle camp and always did good for the eyes pike and SM finding pike with the weeds or logs the eyes off rock points and deeper drop offs. With the eyes you had to be right on the spot if they were on a 13' shelf and you were fishing the 8' or 16' one you would not catch them very picky but lots to go around when you figured them out. Spinner baits best for pike or copper with orange stripes spoon
  17. Loved having a play by play of the weekend you guys always have fun.
  18. Dang very sorry to hear that. When I lived in Sudsbury they were getting back and doing just the same thing right in town
  19. Awesome report and great trip guys I bet you would have had a blast with John Tim and the other Boys from Chicago it's hard not to. We got to meet a couple others last winter Brian and I forget the others great people always look forward to your trip reports.
  20. Lol how many of us have our first chasing walleye it's up stream from here. Congrats on the new obsession
  21. How many still have their yellow jackets? I remember the one M&G in London we got all the looks when a bunch of us were all hanging out in our colours lol.
  22. What about what's his name? I joined around winter of 2001-2002 I had broken my ankle and was messing around the net looking for Ontario fishing this is what I found. It's been such a amazing place and 90% of the people I do things with I met one way or another through here.
  23. Wayne I'm so sorry for your loss as it's been said many times Jens journey has touched so many of us. Many times I was sitting here in tears reading or watching Jen walk. Her fight was amazing even though everyone knew what the end would be. We are all so lucky to have found each other in the OFC family to comfort and be there for everyone. Like Speedtrolls journey with Chris I feel as if I lost a daughter in Jenifer. Jen will always be in my heart she gave light to so many thank you for letting us live the last 5 years with you.
  24. Oh Wayne so very sorry to hear this we are still thinking of you guys here.
