  1. Welcome!
  2. Wow! What a great fish Jim! Congrats!
  3. Just like a powerboat, you have to have one on board. But in a Kayak or Canoe your chances of ending up in the water are much, much higher! So wearing it is wise!
  4. Lets see, 4 Muskie Rods, 4 Salmon rods, 2 Bass casting rods, a spinning rod, noodle rod...
  5. Good to hear all is well. I wish Diane a speedy recovery.
  6. Guysand Gals, a gentlemen from England, Alex Prouse who is an accomplished Pike fisherman will be in the Buckhorn area from Sun July 27th till Wed August 6th. I had hoped to get up to my trailer and take him out Muskie fishing but I won't be able to...A friend took Alex out last year but he can't do it this year...Is there anyone that can be a good ambassador? Maybe get Alex into his first real ESOX! Thanks, Dax
  7. Awesome report a usual! Some truly impressive 'Gators'.
  8. Glen, we KNOW about the "PLAN", do not try it! We may look like peaceful friendly types up here but its all an act! Happy July 4th! Stay away!
  9. Nice fish, great report, welcome to OFC Hawgwob...I mean Patow!
  10. Great report! The open water bite can be the ticket at times!
  11. I agree, sounds like you need a better attitude! Took me 3 trys...16 years ago...
  12. I definately agree there are different genetics involved, but that doesn't nessarilly make them different species... Either way, I like the fat ones!
  13. Interesting read, but this study was to conclude in 2001, what were the results of Lebeau's theory?
  14. Actually, there is no sub-species of Muskie. There is one species of Muskie in Ontario, they have just adapted locally to withever enviroment they evolved in.
  15. Look like Tigers to me, rounded tail fins are the giveaway I think. Seems weird that there are Tigers being caught almost regularly but no Pike..? Both beautiful fish, especailly the bigger one!
  16. Keep trying Bill, it'll happen, and when it does...Kinda like the teenage years trying to get laid!
  17. We are very lucky to be in such a great country!
  18. Thats a NICE one!
  19. Thems trollin' lures! You'll kill your arms either way! If you're serious I'd definately go with the heaviest possible rod like the new St Croix XXXH.
  20. Cradles are hard to use, impossible if your alone and dangerous! One of the many benefits of joining Muskies Canada is a great deal on a quality Muskie net!
  21. Nice one Lew, I'm still waiting for my first of the season...
  22. Salmon and Trout in Lake O are in deeper water these days, you'll need a downrigger or Dipsey set-up to get at 'em. Long point bay for Bass opener might be somthing to consider.
  23. Congrats, it looks like you have a great family there to be proud of!
  24. Hows it gettin' on? Welcome to OFC Skipper.
