  1. found em on scugog up on the flats in 4-5 fow and they were clobberin topwaters.
  2. Thanks Drifter, Just got myself ten spinnerbaits in the only colour I use for 30 bucks. Beauty
  3. A spinnerbait supplier. Not looking to buy full baits, I want to purchase parts and make them myself. I am sick and tired of paying 5 to 8 bucks for a spinnerbait that I can make myself. Have found a few options in kits but it seems like once you pay for shipping its costing 5 bucks a bait anyways. Any suggestions? thanks Kemper
  4. I havent posted in almost a month but I'm still here reading and all I can think of when I read this thread is what the heck are you thinking man. Never EVER post anything on the internet that you wouldn't shout off your rooftop (or in this case to your new employer). How long do you expect to be employed for if someone that works for this guy, or even the employer himself reads this site. OFC isn't a tiny little group of friends anymore, be careful.
  5. This time of year the water temps get high and trout do not get along well with high water temps. I assume it is much easier for bacteria and such to affect them in the warmer water and they are probably not all that resistant to infection being that they live in extreme cold temps most of the time. I have landed quite a few the last two days and lots are marked up, its all part of the spawning process lots of pike are marked up this time of year too. That mark is nasty though, looks like a lamprey mark with a bad infection
  6. So I SHOULDNT post the report of slamming them the last two days? You did this to me, I was clear, line off the pin and everything. Now im right back it it. Covered in mud, crawling thru the trees and turning rocks over to match the hatch. MJL, im not sure if I hate you or love you
  7. awesome! I found a bunch of hungry steel today too, pinkies and white buggers were key
  8. STOP doing this. I pulled the line off my pin, I gave it up. I stopped posting and reading for two weeks...and now im putting line back on my pin. I have a problem. none of this is a lie
  9. yep, it will all be fine if you do this. In fact I do it quite often, and at the end of/beginning of every season.
  10. nice! I cleaned my 25 the other day, man thats a tough job
  11. huh, looks like my post on the topic got yanked? Cant imagine why, maybe i just never hit post. What I was going to say was that I love riverwood gear, I run the floats, worms etc BUT the perfectly cleaned and placed riverwood stuff in these reports is a little annoying and spammy if you ask me
  12. Battalion?! Did you see the first game...
  13. read fishinautographs post, if I remember correctly hes a cop. I think his word is worth more than the radio...people get all agitated about stuff like this and the wrong news get spread. One beer wont make you blow 0.05
  14. Thank you. I have a TON less driving/life/drinking experience then most of the people that posted and even I realize that one beer isnt going to make you blow a 0.05. Makes beautiful sense to me, someone who has had 4 beers should not be on the road. Period. I have no doubt that I could have 4 beers, hell 5 or 6 and keep in on the road but its not the road thats going to kill you, its the family of 4 that accidentally runs a red and you cant react like you would if you werent drinkin. Dont mean to stir the pot, but I guess its just always made sense to me that if youre drinkin you shouldnt be drivin?
  15. ha good luck with that. trout tickling.....geez
  16. Never have used the word tickling as a synonym to snagging myself... but if its common knowledge I guess I was NOT tickling the trout yesterday. Enticing...fooling...baiting...slamming...lip rippin etc I WAS however. Dont snag trout dudes
  17. I kept a big rezzy trout once out of oshawa creek because I deep hooked it, when I cleaned it there was 1 more hook in its throat and 3 more in its stomach all complete with bag netting!
  18. Was fishin for drop back steel today and after getting two fish out of a deeper run I hit the fast water to see if I could fool any more. The water was a perfect colour so that I could somewhat see the fish, but they probably couldnt see me. After spotting two fish sitting behind a rock current break in 3 feet of fast water I sent a drift down their way. I was about to pull the drift because it was no good and out of nowhere a big male that was behind the rock came blasting out and absolutely ROCKED my bag that was ten-fifteen feet wide and still 10 feet out front of the rock! I couldnt believe it, I was so shocked I forgot to set the hook and missed it...so I drifted it down there again and the second time it came out and smashed it again! I was ready this time and landed it after possibly best battle of the season so far... I have been fishin all day so I will get the picture up tomorrow but I thought I would share this story...had me completely blown away! Anyone else ever seen a steelhead act that aggressive? Crazy stuff, and on a side note the drop back fishing has been great this week. I have been fishing all alone and doing QUITE well.
  19. I tickled a few trout myself today... Roe is a good bait on almost any day, if they doesnt work flies, jigs, worms etc.
  20. Sweet fishin, good on ya for releasing them it seems like most people read opener as "bring out the kill chains"
  21. Good fishin boys. I went up north for opener, not the same numbers but fun none the less. Sadly I think I put the trout stick away for the season, once its warm and clear I just dont feel right fishin for trout
  22. Did I forget to mention that it was his first bow on the pin? I remember when I hooked my first fish on the pin...a 4 lb brown that made me look SILLY. Gotta love the pinner
  23. Should be lots of suckers on any trib now I can honestly say that I have not caught a sucker yet this year, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO of course I jinxed it now, and my opener will be full of the greasy buggers
  24. Nice fish... I often forget that dropback hens will hit ANYTHING some days, that worm is huge
