  2. Mike, take those lures off...you'll do nothing but scratch both your rod and reel
  3. Yup, Citica for sure. Great starter reel.. I used and abused mine and it was super reliable.
  4. Dave, if I ever get sick of cork and sliding rings, I'll be giving you a call
  5. You guys better stop talking about my future wife!!!!!!
  6. Yeah, this wasn't an 'accident' about running out of stock Good show on BPS for selling these units to the lucky few that got them!
  7. Mike, that's a great recap!!! I learned awful quick on Simcoe if the fish aren't into the chasing game, it's time to move. I can't even count the hours I've spent staring at the graph at inactive fish. This was the first year I really got into icefishing, luckily I made out pretty well...
  8. Al, that's awesome news!!!
  9. I am going to give ice out crappie a go this year for sure.
  10. The start to a very nice spring I'm sure! Good work bud... I am really hating this new project at work Takes up to much of my fishing time!!!

  14. I think the best idea is just to shoot the neighbour and bury him in the backyard.
  15. I use muskie leaders for pike 18-24" in either 80 or 130lb flouro. Big or small, they eat it regardless.. Pike aren't the brightess fish out there...
  16. It would have been better if it was turned off before it went for a dip, but the memory card *should* be ok.
  17. So there are more people fishing Rice in the winter then the summer? lol
  18. So what do people with conservation licenses do when it states in the reg their limit is zero? Stand there and look at the river, willing the fish to the bank?
  19. I thought fishing was about the sport, not the table fare.
  20. Yeah, it was a great day for sure. The weather was absolutely perfect, however we could have used the melt a bit sooner to soften that ride out this morning. Hooked up in the first 10mins but lost it about 10ft down... Moved a few more times and hooked up again, with something really nice which again popped the hook... Ah well, what can ya do!! My mission for the day was to get Doug on a whitefish and it was mission accomplished when he brought that brute up through the hole.. Last day out on the ice for me, bring on the steel and the opener!!!! And Doug, that sandwich was awesome!!!
  21. Ahhh , ok I thought you might have been referring to those ruts of death out there this morning rather then the ice thickness The drive out was brutal, I thought for sure I was going to slice a sidewall open...
  22. How much do one of those planes weigh? We found at least 20inches of ice in some places today, unreal...
  23. Wayne, you sure it didn't fall out of the plane? I am sure you saw the two planes circle and land out on the ice today. We fished about 100ft from them for a mins on our way back.... Goodluck with finding that cover!
  24. So it wasn't Wayne who flew the plane onto the ice today?
  25. That Garmin Oregon 200 is a nice price at $239...
