  1. Damn, Darwin almost got another two.
  2. Mikey, I'm sure we'll have to send it back after out next trip
  3. Well if people didn't know those lakes held muskie, they do now!
  4. Plan on towing a 28ft 5th wheel and our 15ft Legend in a few days.. No issues at all, well under the 74ft length limit. Truck was made for it!
  5. I'd just smile and wave................and keep on fishing.
  6. Yeah, we purposely became dehydrated because it would have made a better story if we both cramped up really bad the first night.
  7. Personally, I'd do QEW>407>403>401>400N. The 407 is good if you wanted to skip some of the QEW near Burlington, but the round about way it goes over the city doesn't save you anytime, only costs you money. 11am you should be fine on any of the majors.. All of the northbound traffic up to Barrie from Toronto will be gone by that time...
  8. If we would have done a better job at hydrating, we wouldn't have had any cramping issues the first night. I had to stop Mike at least 4-5 times on the way back and order him to drink water, lol... It's the little things that can make all the difference. We have a few more adventures planned
  9. Wait, are you a camp owner or something?
  10. Has he talked about beaver fever yet? lol
  11. Big, nasty, smelly skein will work perfect... From what I've been told by a few guys that have had very good success doing this, is to not run the bait to deep. They've told me they've caught fish 1ft below the float out in the harbours... Something to think about.
  12. I doubt they even spoke english, I wouldn't waste any time worrying about it.
  13. I use my 60cx for pretty much everything, no problems at all... Works great for Simcoe whities and lakers!
  14. Bring some boats with some ankle support, that boggy deadfall is murder.
  15. I beat the crap out of my Clarus Med/Light, 7ft 2pc rod. Never given me a hint of a problem....
  16. Nice gator!
  17. I didn't realize cottage owners owned the water around their docks. I must have missed that memo. I pitch around docks all the time, I rarely pitch towards someones boat if it's tied up though. Just be a bit more careful and there are no issues, I'd never fish someones dock if there were people on it though.
  18. Drew, some of those are massive!!! I've heard about Kesagami, I guess the rumours are true Awesome report man!
  19. I like the black with red spec 7inch Senkos and watermelon as well. I've never noticed one work better then the other though, if you put it infront of a fishes face, it's either going to eat it or not.
  20. No drifting issues yet. I used that exact Garmin unit on our trip. I do like to keep it zoomed out a bit though (20M or so) if not, you'll be making more corrections then actually walking in the correct direction. If you think you are going the wrong way, or the arrow isn't pointing straight ahead, take 7-8 steps to get your correct bearing them make changes if you have to.
  21. The difference is the gulls/ravens and turkey vultures will clean them up in no time, instead of burning them and sending the yummy flavours 100's of feet into the air and into the noses of hungry bears, lol.
  22. The Notty always has a tinge to it, and the logs are another thing you need to deal with.. I'm glad I'm only 15mins away from the river, definitely one of my favs and most frustrating I might add.. Alot of fish made it up way past Alliston early in the season last year, which is great for the fishery.
  23. Giant snakes and most likely some other creatures of the deep (whitefish perhaps)
  24. Mikey, as always a great trip I couldn't ask for better company. Lots and lots of laughs and as you said, all the pain was definitely worth it! That walleye you caught was easily the biggest walleye I've ever seen, the head was massive!!! I laugh just thinking about it.. Can't wait until our next adventure.
  25. Double Uni all the way.
