  1. If it passes emissions that's a pretty good indicator the engine is in decent running order. Don't piss money away because it's burning a hole in your wallet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
  2. All those photos except the fish were taken with a non-IS lens
  3. Thanks Mike. No tripod and manual focusing
  4. You are playing with fire man, if it's out of the slot it goes back, if it's out of season it goes back.. Regardless if the hook is down it's throat or not.
  5. Picked up a Canon Rebel XS, Canon 70-200 f4/L non-is telephoto, EF 50mm F1.8 II (nifty fifty) and some other random stuff (bags, tripod etc)... Here are a few of the better pics (I think) I've taken... Definitely addicting! Dragonfly in the woods. by lnxguycsi, on Flickr Barrie countryside sunset by lnxguycsi, on Flickr Bald eagle by lnxguycsi, on Flickr And a nice resident I picked up right before the close.. Upper Credit brownie by lnxguycsi, on Flickr
  6. That pretty much defines 'Gin Clear' Awesome pic!
  7. Don't bother with the performance upgrades, 95% of them are a waste of time and money. Now spending money on things like good fluids for the diffs, a tranny filter/flush, etc is a good idea. With that amount of miles on it, it's all about maintenance...
  8. Drew, what a report man!!! You'll have to get down this way again for some steel
  9. Some wicked smallmouth down around the Maid of the Mist docks...
  10. I can't get over the size of that thing!!! Way to go Aaron! It almost looks fake it's so big!
  11. First real time out on the piers this year and it was a blast for sure. Got fish on both hardware and giant skein bags... Steelheading so far has been awesome, got a new toy and have been fishing some untouched water.. Georgian Bay Steelhead by lnxguycsi, on Flickr
  12. We used to slam lakers down at Port Dalhousie when you used to be able to fish all the way up to the dam... They definitely aren't there just hanging around
  13. When this was posted I was in the middle of the Notty.. Better then the rain we had earlier in the day though.
  14. That little seat heater isn't going to make a dent in a car battery.
  15. I've met some close friends on this site, have caught massive amounts of fish because of it, been taught the in's and out's of steelheading by one the best steelheaders I know and have now become addicted to icefishing lake Simcoe Still gotta write Alaska off my bucket list, the Sutton and somewhere I can get me a monster arctic char But I'm sure those trips will be in the near future.
  16. Timber is a lot of fun.. I'd probably float bags and try to keep your presentation right above the wood. You'll get snagged, but not as much if you are bottom bouncing.
  17. Cops should have sat the kid in the back of the car for a little while. Nothing like pissing your pants in the back of a cop car to straighten you out.
  18. That's the fathers job, not yours.
  19. Gotta agree with Dan, nice spot just to sit and enjoy the view
  20. Nice report man! Live worms work wonders when the water is still on the warm side
  21. Using this + The Weather Network = a successful day on the river.
  22. Ah yes, the pencil weight. I was out with Solo last year on the Niagara and there is a definite 'feel' that needs to be acquired to get the hang of it.
  23. I should have used that damn smiley, lol!!! I'm a big boy, I can take it. I hope no one in here is taking this to seriously, it's all fun and games until the temps drop! And yes, I have bottom bounced on more then one occasion, extremely effective as DMASSE has stated (and a bunch of others). I'll have to get out to the Niagara and practice up on it this year for sure.
  24. LOL!!!! This thread is hilarious. The amount of panties that are all torn up about it is comical. I guess everyone missed my sarcasm with my original reply and that's fine. A sarcastic reply deserves an equal amount of sarcastic answers. I'm always up for some good ribbing, whether it be at my expense or not. Now to Chancho the local Angus expert, if you are going to insult someone, at least get your spelling correct and lose the cool kiddie internet talk. I've fished Angus multiple times and never had a problem banking fish with the pin. 99% of the guys I see down there are drifting presentations under floats.
  25. lol I love how you missed the entire first page and my second reply as to why a float setup would be a good idea. Eyes open next time kid.
