Don't bother with the performance upgrades, 95% of them are a waste of time and money. Now spending money on things like good fluids for the diffs, a tranny filter/flush, etc is a good idea. With that amount of miles on it, it's all about maintenance...

Timber is a lot of fun.. I'd probably float bags and try to keep your presentation right above the wood. You'll get snagged, but not as much if you are bottom bouncing.

Ah yes, the pencil weight. I was out with Solo last year on the Niagara and there is a definite 'feel' that needs to be acquired to get the hang of it.

I've fished Angus multiple times and never had a problem banking fish with the pin. 99% of the guys I see down there are drifting presentations under floats.
