If you wanna save fuel, you take the Sultan Rd and cut over an hour (and 100kms) off your trip.. You also miss most of the really hilly section out of the Sault on 17. Although it's interesting pulling a 5th wheel + boat.

11 ends in Nipigon, so you'd be traveling 17... 11 is a boring as death drive, I never take it.

Those DIY bedliner kits are not even close to as tough as the stuff you get sprayed on by a pro. Do it once, do it right.

I like to bury the hooks into their brain.. Even float fishing... I'm glad I've got a softer Loomis IM6 that takes a bit out of my hookset.

What was the depth of water it came out of? I wouldn't think the bladder would be expanded if it came out of shallow water. This usually only happens to fish that come out of the deep stuff.

I would have made a drift or two through that deep section with an indicator and a nymph.. Deadly when the fish are lethargic.

Yup, those were the days! You ever eat at Marks? I thought the place closed down when the 'new' 69 completely went around it.. Loved that place, used to stop all the time on the way to Manitouabing.
