  1. You should be playing most of the fish around here on the line anyhow
  2. I know a few old timers that still use WD40 on their worms.. I have a feeling it's more about getting rid of the human scent on the bait then it is adding anything else.
  3. I'm going against the grain BB!
  4. Recently added a transom saver for the 115 Yami on the back of the Lund.
  5. It's really up to you, the odds are almost nil that you'll ever need a drag on that thing.. I personally like the reel being quiet.
  6. I don't know many people flying across the lake at 50mph with the motor trimmed out so far out it's off the hydraulic jacks in the back.
  7. All the reel does is hold line, I wouldn't waste your time stripping it all off to be honest. Especially doing the type of fishing you're doing. If you can, turn off the drag entirely. No need for it.
  8. Bought one last year, great rain suit for cheap!
  9. First thing I did when I bought it... Turned off the GPS
  10. If you knew where this fish was caught, there is absolutely no possible chance it made it up from Lake Superior. Seeing that someone else caught a brown on that same river system in the same week, I think brown trout is the easy choice. Will be interesting to see what with the MNR comes back with though after seeing the picture.
  11. Humminbird works fine behind TaylorMade windshield as well.. Very odd problem.
  12. You can still get aftermarket lenses for them (They've been around for a while because of the underwater focusing issue with the previous model)
  13. You are allowed one hook and it has to be barbless.. That hook can be a treble.
  14. If that's an Atlantic, it must have one hell of a vertical jump to make it in from the big lake.
  15. Have you tried a different power source?
  16. Here's the connection PDF diagram for the Mercury Motors... http://www.lowrance.com/upload/Lowrance/Documents/Manuals/Mercury_Engine_NMEA2000_Connection.pdf
  17. Lake Trout fishing in the dead of summer isn't very hard. You know where the fish are going to be opposed to after ice out. Sounds like you are on the ball... Might wanna add a gang troll to your box, but that's totally up to you.. I'd stick to smaller NK spoons, husky jerks, J11's, etc...
  18. I've caught a few Lake O browns which have zero red on them.
  19. Skunked = zero fish to the boat.
  20. Fogging oil most likely burning off..
  21. They are always coloured up, even more in the fall.
  22. Absolutely, let's wait for a sunny say.. We should definitely have some bugs hatching later in the afternoon if that's the case. I'm pretty much free all this week (Coming up)
  23. Looks like some gorgeous water man!! Go back in the evenings if you want topwater dry action.
