They make both, thermal and non thermal ones.. I've got a Nanook Thermal, I don't even need a heater in there after 5-10 mins, it's awesome.

Yeah, the Tamron 150-600 is also on the list. A few tests having been coming out, waiting to see some real life comparisons.

I've been racking my brain back and forth between the Canon 100-400m vs the Sigma 150-500mm. One day I'll make a decision. Fantastic shots btw.

The 90 and the 115 are identical... Same dry weight and dimensions, only difference I'm guessing is in the tuning. As for fuel savings? Maybe only at WOT, but it will take you a LONG time to see that $1000 in fuel savings. I'd rather have the extra ponies.

I've found that the specs don't mind the noise at all, actually after you drill your hole the odds are really good you'll get bit right away.
